Job Summary:
The position is a full-time, in person position (at least, initially) and is available immediately. There is possibility of part-time work from home once fully up to speed. Duties include representation of the Standing Trustee before the Bankruptcy Court and conducting Meetings of Creditors. The staff attorney must assist the Standing Trustee in investigating the financial affairs of debtors and in meeting the duties of a fiduciary, which require the diligent exercise of good faith in administration of the estates under the Standing Trustee's supervision. Bankruptcy education or extern, intern or work experience is preferred. Candidates must be eligible for admission to practice in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Indiana, which simply requires admission to the highest court of any state. Passage of the Indiana Bar, while not initially necessary if a foreign license is held, will be a goal. The successful candidate must possess strong verbal, writing and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle a high-volume caseload. Salary is commensurate with this entry level position.

Compensation:
The staff attorney's annual salary and benefits are part of the Standing Trustee's annual operating budget, which is subject to review and approval by the U.S. Trustee. The approved salary for the staff attorney position is $82,774 to $124,160. In addition to this salary, benefits presently include, subject to applicable participation requirements:

Description A3 is a 24-bed unit providing high-acuity care for cardiac and medical-surgical patients with various co-morbidities.
We care for post-cardiac intervention patients (e.g., heart catheterizations, AAA stent repairs, TAVRs, EP ablations, pacemaker/ICD placements) and manage specialized devices like Impellas and IABPs, Artic Sun and Tablo XT.
We also treat ventilator-dependent patients and those with conditions like hypertension, diabetes, GI bleeds, peripheral vascular disease and renal disease.

The Emergency Department had been designated a Level IV Trauma Center by Texas Department of Health.
The department is responsible for initiating lifesaving procedures in all types of emergency situations and for providing emergency care for other conditions, including chronic medical problems and minor injuries and illnesses.
After emergency measures are implemented, the patient may be transferred within the hospital, to another institution, or discharged home.
Our average daily census is 60.
The most frequent medical diagnoses seen are R/O Myocardial Infarction, Congestive Heart Failure, Pneumonia, Cardiovascular conditions, cardiopulmonary conditions, Diabetes Mellitus, Hepatitis, Pancreatitis, URI and Urosepsis.
The most frequent surgical conditions are appendicitis, fractured hip and spontaneous abortion.
The ER staff work closely with the community by providing education on disease process and safety measures.
We also volunteer our time and service to help out our local naval base during events such as βWings over Texasβ and our surrounding areas with events such as, βBeach to Bay.β Our team has been recognized for exceeding the goal for treating a MI or stroke patient.
They have made changes to the overall flow in the ER to improve the door to doctor times and over all patient experience.
We have earned the Silver Award from the American Heart Association for our Stroke Care.
