DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: NOTE: Following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.



  • Lead and manage a team of utilization review professionals providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the utilization of healthcare services, including appropriateness, efficiency, and medical necessity of treatments and procedures.
  • Analyze data and generate reports on utilization trends, outcomes and quality indicators to support decision-making and process improvement initiatives. Reports to appropriate committees.
  • Manage quality of performance criteria, policies and procedures, and service standards for the utilization management operations. Evaluate utilization reviews and determine program improvements.
  • Develop and implement utilization review policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Direct and coordinate data gathering and record keeping legally required by federal and state agencies, the Joint Commission, and hospital policies; participates in the risk mitigation, process of implementing new or revised processes, and projects
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal departments, external agencies, and insurance providers to facilitate the utilization review process.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary committees and meetings to contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Oversees the secondary review process; actively appeals denied cases when necessary and assists physicians with appeals. Maintains minimal denial rates by Medicare, MediCal, private and contracted payers through appropriate direction of utilization practices; assists physicians and hospital personnel in understanding UM matters.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Prepares cost analysis reports and other data needed for the preparation of the departmental budget.
  • Provides in-house educational programs as needed for both staff and physicians.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, orientation, evaluation, counseling and disciplinary action of UM and administrative staff.
  • Serves as a content expert to staff and internal departments and external partners; networks with other hospitals, nursing organizations, and professional organizations to keep abreast of changes within the profession.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing


Preferred Education: Master's degree in Nursing


Required Experience: Three years of utilization review experience. Health insurance company and/or acute care hospital, post-acute and psych; three years of InterQual and/or MCG. Strong clinical nursing background.


Required Licenses/Certifications: Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.

SUMMARY: An Extrusion Utility Operator is responsible for safely and effectively contributing to team a of 4-5 individuals supporting the operation of extrusion lamination manufacturing equipment.   • Visual acuity for identifying minor imperfections and material defects.
  • Basic understanding of general tool usage including tape measurers, utility knives and screw drivers.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

What You Will Do:

  • Follow specific directions of Leader/Supervisor to carry out repair and restoration projects for engine parts.
  • Layout work requirements and obtain needed equipment to perform routine repair and alteration operations.
  • Perform bench repair operations to restore parts where close tolerances are not normally required and specifically defined criteria are used.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Participates in training, embrace concepts of and actively practice the STOP Safety Program fundamentals to aid American Packaging Corporation's efforts to achieve a zero-accident rate.
  • Retrieves all necessary set up information/specifications/guidelines and follows instructions on the job jacket.
  • Completes all machine changeover/set-up processes minimizing machine downtime and meeting or exceeding set-up standard requirements. Develop set up procedure documentation as required.
  • Correctly completes daily production sheets, process condition sheets, waste logs, final release forms, ink paperwork and quality inspection logs. Ensure job order information (size, construction, print position, packing instructions, adhesive structures, proper substrates being used) corresponds with the product being manufactured.
  • Safely, efficiently and effectively assists with the assigned production machinery equipment monitoring quality, production and waste adhering to all customer specifications.
  • Ensures immediate work area and work areas for which Machine Operator has responsibility are free of clutter and debris. Perform all cleaning/sanitation responsibilities, safely using all required cleaning solutions and protective equipment.
  • Removes rolls from rewind, hangs rolls on rewind, makes up doctor blades, preps print carriages, brings correct inks and lacquers to the press, configures ink ratios, disposes of ink, solvents and lacquers, maintains ink viscosities and cuts cores.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for a large variety of unique duties within the maintenance department. Major components of this position are support to the maintenance department, contractor coordination, project management support and buildings, vehicles and grounds upkeep. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor but frequently receives daily assignments from the Maintenance Manager.
Essential Functions
  • Perform maintenance related duties to maintain facilities and grounds in a premier manner.

The Utilities and Processing Manager is responsible for leading the performance, reliability, and compliance of all plant utility, environmental, and milk processing systems. This role oversees cross-functional maintenance teams, drives energy-efficiency and sustainability initiatives, and manages complex capital and operational projects from planning through execution. The manager ensures utility operations-including HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, compressed air, glycol, electrical distribution, and wastewater systems-are safe, efficient, and compliant with regulatory and corporate standards. In addition, the role provides technical leadership for milk processing systems, ensuring consistent product quality, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement. This position collaborates closely with internal teams, contractors, and external regulatory partners to support operational excellence, long-term asset health, and site-wide performance goals.


Project Management:

Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines. Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project. Serve as a point of contact for all project personnel, (contractors, internal support resources, etc.), to ensure teams remain in synergy. Communicate with internal and external business partners to keep the project aligned with their goals and targets. Performing quality control on the project throughout execution to maintain the standards expected. Adjust project schedules, targets, milestones, project financing, and escalations as needed.


Plant Utility Systems:

Drive plant utility efficiencies to positively impact energy savings in line with Sustainable Environmental goals. Supervise and manage the Utilities Maintenance Department to provide technical oversight for utility systems including HVAC, ammonia refrigeration, boilers, air compressors, glycol systems, and electrical distribution. Lead energy conservation efforts, manage plant utility projects, and partner with other business partners to ensure compliance with plant standards for all non-utility related projects.


Environmental Systems:

Provide technical assistance and oversight for the Industrial Pretreatment Facility, (WWTP), as well as all other Plant Utility Environmental Compliance. Oversee the execution of all environmental contracts, audits, and submit regulatory documents to ensure compliance. Manage 3rd party environmental contractors and align with corporate sustainability manager(s) for corporate sustainability initiatives.


Milk Processing Systems:

Directly manage the Maintenance resources for all Milk Processing systems. Establish mid- and long-term preventative maintenance plans to ensure the reliability of these systems. Including, but not limited to Raw incoming milk, Ingredient batching, Pasteurization, and CIP systems. Adhere to all Quality and PMO standards. Partner with Internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers to successfully execute continuous improvements and reliability initiatives.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Oversee and execute Utility and Processing project(s) development, execution, and project and Maintenance budgets.
  • Responsible for all aspects of food safety and quality as defined in plant and department procedures
  • Ensure all projects with a production increase are supported by all Utility and Processing systems as well as in compliance with any plant environmental impact.
  • Identify opportunities in energy efficiency to reduce cost and reduce the specific energy consumption by strengthening preventative maintenance responses and development of breakthrough projects aligning the production to the company mission for environment and sustainable development.
  • Assembles energy usage data, completes weekly and monthly KPI reports and communicates reports on consumption; review and approve invoices.
  • Using weekly and monthly KPI reports, develop, own, and execute action plans based on opportunities found in data trends.
  • Lead and supervise the planning and implementation of strategies to promote a proactive and comprehensive maintenance program for all Plant Utility Systems (WWTP, Ammonia Refrigeration, Boiler & Steam Systems, Air Compressor), and Milk Processing Systems.
  • Supervise and oversee utility operations to ensure Utility Systems and Processing technical teams are staffed and operated in an effective manner and that all are within applicable permit limits.
