ASL Stone is a leading supplier of cut-to-size natural stone for large-scale commercial construction projects across the United States and Canada. From our headquarters in Plymouth, Michigan, we support complex hardscape and architectural stone packages in competitive commercial environments.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead all material takeoffs and pricing efforts. This is an in-office leadership role for an experienced commercial estimator with a strong background in the hardscape industry.
What You’ll Own
- Detailed material takeoffs for cut-to-size natural stone supply packages
- Development of accurate and competitive material-only pricing proposals
- Full scope analysis of civil, landscape, and architectural drawing sets
- Review of finish schedules, elevations, and specifications to ensure complete coverage
- Identification of scope gaps, exclusions, and risk factors prior to bid submission
- Coordination with quarries and suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, and availability
- Management of multiple commercial bids under strict deadlines
- Oversight and standardization of estimating processes and cost data
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of commercial construction estimating experience
- Required experience within the commercial hardscape industry
- Proven track record performing material takeoffs and project pricing
- Experience interpreting civil, landscape, and architectural drawings
- CAD proficiency required
- Experience working within GC-driven commercial bid processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience estimating cut-to-size natural stone supply packages
- PlanSwift experience
- Senior or lead estimating experience within a stone supplier or building materials organization
- Experience in pricing large, multi-phase commercial material packages

6AM-4PM / 4PM-2AM every other week rotation.

Job Summary:
Our Production Associates are Customer Obsessed and strive to exceed customer expectations with every order. Production Associates support manufacturing processes by completing the following tasks: reviewing the Manufacturing Order for specific product requirements; inspecting parts and materials prior to and during use to ensure quality of parts and final products, implementing the best practices in manufacturing processes while producing and packaging the product and preparing orders for shipping, reporting orders accurately, maintaining organization in the area, attention to details, time management and effective communication.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Efficiently inspect product to ensure quality then pack finished goods to ensure order accuracy and meet customer expectations
- Examine product for ink smears, position of design, print clarity, color accuracy or other defects and report issues immediately for correction
- Ensure that the proper supplies are being used for packaging
- Must be able to read, understand and follow Manufacturing Orders to make sure orders are printed according to specifications (quality, accuracy and layout)
- Package product for shipping, making sure proper box size and packing procedures are followed and ensuring that only products meeting quality standards are packed to ship to our customers
- Complete reporting and necessary daily paperwork as instructed, including production log of quantity produced, scrap and related information
- Assist with performing preventive maintenance duties or changeover duties, such as daily cleaning and lubricating.
- Perform duties safely and in accordance with company safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested by supervisor/management.
Minimum qualifications:
- Reading, writing and math skills equivalent to that identified by a High School Diploma or GED
- Maintain inventory storage in a clean, orderly manner
- Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills
- Ability to professionally communicate and work with others
- Ability to reach, bend, twist, grasp and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 40 45 pounds frequently and to assist in team lifts at a higher weight.
- Ability to work rotating shifts (including weekend shifts) as required

Job Description for Production Associate - Koozie Cell:
The Production Associate will set up, adjust, and operate semi-automated printing machines and prepare items processed for the next routing step. Ensuring that only products meeting company standards are passed onto the next step or packaged to ship to our customers. Must be able to read and understand work instructions, perform basic math functions, and make adjustments and/or minor repairs to equipment.
Responsibilities for Production Associate - Koozie Cell:
- Set up and adjust machines for proper operation
- Ensure that the proper supplies (both bill of material and non-bill of material items) are being used for printing
- Read and follows manufacturing orders to make sure orders are printed according to specifications (quality, accuracy, and layout)
- Examines product for defects, position of design print clarity, color accuracy or other flaws and adjusts equipment accordingly if needed
- Maintains sewing equipment including, but not limited to needles, bobbins, lubrication, etc.
- May package product for shipping, making sure proper box size and packing procedures are followed and ensuring that only products meeting quality standards are packed to ship
- Completes DCT reporting and necessary daily paperwork as instructed, including quantity produced, scrap and related information
- Performs preventative maintenance duties, such as daily cleaning and lubricating
- Maintains effective working relationship with coworkers
- Maintains a clean and neat work area
- Actively participates in and supports teamwork and continuous process improvement
- Demonstrates flexibility and commitment through cross training and helping other departments consistent with business needs
Qualifications for Production Associate - Koozie Cell:
- At least 18 years of age
- The ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
- Computer knowledge
- Must be able to read and understand work instructions, perform basic math functions, and make adjustments to machines and tools
- Any prior experience within manufacturing, machine operator, or production associate preferred
- Comfortable standing for long periods of time.
