Safety

  • Ensure the crew complies with OSHA Standards, MSHA Standards and MBC Safety Programs. Project Records

  • Complete and send accurate HCSS Heavy Job Reports to the Archbold office by 10 AM the following day.

We are seeking a dedicated Material Planner / Purchaser (MRP Specialist) to join our supply chain team. This role focuses on direct materials planning and procurement (e.g., solar cells, glass, encapsulants like EVA/POE, frames, ribbons, junction boxes, etc.) using MRP logic in our ERP system. The position ensures timely material availability to support continuous production, optimal inventory levels, cost control, and supply chain resilience in the fast-evolving U.S. solar market.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Execute MRP runs in the ERP system based on the Master Production Schedule (MPS), customer orders, BOMs, inventory data, and production forecasts to calculate net material requirements and generate accurate purchase requisitions and production orders.
  2. Plan and allocate demand for critical PV raw materials (e.g., wafers/cells, glass, backsheets, encapsulants, aluminum frames, solder ribbons), accounting for specifications such as grade, color, bin, and efficiency to minimize production changeover losses.
  3. Monitor supplier delivery performance, maintain daily/weekly shortage reports and incoming material schedules; proactively resolve delays, quality issues, or supply disruptions to achieve Just-In-Time (JIT) or Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) delivery.
  4. Manage inventory parameters (safety stock, min/max levels, reorder points); track inventory turnover, identify slow-moving/obsolete risks, and recommend action plans (e.g., consumption, downgrade use, resale, or disposal) to minimize working capital and avoid stockouts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace, and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.).

  • Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.

  • Mentor other maintenance shop personnel.

  • Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners to triage appropriate plan of action including equipment swaps etc.

  • Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Onsite: The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have 5 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.

  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting ability using fleet maintenance software.

  • Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Must furnish own personal hand tools.

  • Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations pertaining to the shop and fleet.

  • Ability to read and understand technical and service manuals.

  • Excellent communication skills; able to communicate with co-workers and drivers with demonstrated teamwork skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

How You'll Contribute:



This full-time (40hr./wk.) position is responsible for the safe and timely transportation and delivery of equipment and materials as needed between Diversified warehouses and client job sites. Additionally, this position is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the warehouse. This position is accountable for the warehouse's inventory accuracy, organization, and control of incoming shipments, as well as the timely, properly documented execution of outgoing shipments, including RMAs. The position entails a service-oriented approach; proactively supporting local and global project teams with all warehouse activities is required, as well as the ability to collaborate and communicate with a variety of other departments and warehouses.

What You'll Do:





  • This position is required to deliver products and materials to job sites and between buildings.

  • Ensure that outbound shipping requests are processed in a timely manner and in accordance with project specifications, as well as Diversified
    shipping and inventory control procedures. Confirm all documentation and data entry is complete and accurate before releasing the shipment.

  • Maintain a safe and clean warehouse facility: breakdown boxes and control waste; store shipping pallets and other warehouse materials and equipment; follow procedures and inventory control processes; comply with safety policies.

  • Unload and receive deliveries: process receipt and/or electronically log all incoming packages, based on disposition. Qualify equipment/materials and store according to warehouse layout and project specifications.

  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies utilizing RF/ Scan Gun

  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.

  • Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.

  • Weigh, and label outbound shipments, including small package and freight shipments. Recommend cost-effective shipping procedures to staff
    members. Call for couriers in response to staff requests and notify appropriate project teams when incoming courier correspondence is received.

  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor

  • 1+ years of experience as a delivery driver; box truck experience preferred.

- Customer Service

- Ensures all reset displays are safe and in working order and repaired/replaced as needed
- Repairs/seals damaged packaging and boxes including peg-hook items
- Removes all trash, moves cardboard boxes to the bailer, and moves plastic wrap and other debris to the compactor
- Replaces light bulbs and alerts the appropriate contact when additional maintenance issues are noted (lights out, painting, etc.)
- Detects common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicates them to management and/or Asset Protection
- Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery) to maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas
- Maintains a safe and secure work environment, which may include conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates
- Adheres to all safety requirements relevant to one’s regular job duties: top stock safety, reinstalling safety cables, use of aisle blockers, a tether line on power equipment, spotters, and safety devices
- Operates store equipment as needed depending on one specific role and department (e.g., Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV surveillance system, key cutter, panel saw, paint mixer, flooring cutters, compacter baler)
- In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for other duties as assigned
- Maintain point-of-sale signage including bin plus beam label stock ensuring all bin locators are placed and price changes are activated
- Audit and update pricing labels inside and outside the store to ensure accuracy
- Follow state-specific guidelines on price changes (Pricing Policy SF-06)

Required Qualifications
