SUMMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Head Coach for Men's Lacrosse/Game Management Assistant leads all facets of the men's lacrosse program, including practice and competition management, student-athlete recruitment and retention, fiscal oversight, supervision and mentoring of assistant coaches, academic and personal development of studentathlete recruitment and retention, fiscal oversight, supervision and mentoring of assistant coaches, academic and personal development of studentathletes, scheduling, travel coordination, and alumni and family engagement. In addition to coaching duties, the incumbent supports the Athletics Facilities team by performing secondary responsibilities as a game management assistant, contributing to the setup, coordination, and administration of home athletic events to ensure a safe, organized, and positive experience for teams, officials, and spectators.
In carrying out these responsibilities, the incumbent follows the University's best practices to build and/or support student academic success and retention and assist in meeting strategic objectives for persistence and timely graduation of all the student population.
EXAMPLES OF PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lacrosse Coaching & Program Management
- Performs all the duties associated with managing and serving as the Head Coach of men's lacrosse, including but not limited to managing practices and competitions, team recruitment and retention, budget management (e.g., equipment, recruiting, personnel), supervision and mentoring of assistant coaches, mentoring student-athletes, competition schedule development, transportation and meals for away contests, alumni and family engagement
- Ensures compliance with NCAA, Conference, and institutional policies and procedures, including the NCAA Principals of Ethical Conduct, and demonstrates professionalism on and off the field
- Reinforces the priorities of health and safety through attention to the NCAA acclimatization rules, NCAA Sports Sciences Institute consensus statements, National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletics Equipment (NOCSAE) protective equipment standards, institutional policies and procedures, and best practices in collaboration with the Sports Medicine team
- Collaborates with department and campus partners to support team publicity. statistics, health and injury reporting, equipment management, and the upkeep of sport and locker room facilities
- Assists with evaluating, selecting, and ordering program equipment and ensures that annual reconditioning and recertification of equipment is conducted
Game Management Support
- Serves as a member of the athletic facilities team for game management support
- Assists with field and facility setup and breakdown for home contests, ensuring all areas are prepared safely and in accordance with departmental standards
- Supports game day coordination to help deliver a positive and wellorganized game day experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree
EXPERIENCE:

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Premier Club Sports, the Premier Hockey Head Coach oversees all aspects of the college's Premier Club Hockey program, providing leadership, organization, and instruction to student-athletes. This position supports the educational mission of the University by fostering student development, teamwork, and sportsmanship within a competitive environment. Main responsibilities include recruiting, securing a complete team roster, team management, fundraising, and budget management. Being competitive and goal oriented is essential. Promotes a positive team culture emphasizing respect, accountability, and enhancing the student's overall college experience. Serves as a mentor, models professional behavior, and represents the University in a positive manner at all times. This position will require working occasional evenings and weekends for practices and games.
Essential Functions:
- Recruit and secure a full team roster as determined appropriate by the Director. Participate in Enrollment Management events and activities such as CU Sundays, Admitted Student Days, campus visits, etc.
- Oversee team administration, including but limited to communicating with regional/national organizations; arranging practices, competitions, and travel, budgeting, fundraising, and securing sponsorships.
- Coach team members on site: plan and lead practices; create strategies; provide individual and team feedback; mentor students in good sportsmanship; travel with team.

The Georgia Tech Athletic Associate (GTAA) sponsors varsity intercollegiate athletics competition in 17 NCAA Division I sports for the Georgia Institute of Technology. We are a proud member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Job Summary
To provide instructional, recruiting and organizational expertise for the Men's Basketball program at Georgia Tech, supporting the Head Coach in building an environment that inspires and empowers student-athletes to be champions in academics, competition, and life.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head Coach in evaluating individual and team strengths and developing strategies for skill improvement.
- Support the Head Coach with all games, scrimmages, and practices.
- Support the Head Coach in providing appropriate discipline for student-athletes for violations of team rules or Georgia Tech and Association regulations, or conduct impacting upon team matters, team policies or the reputation of Georgia Tech and the Association.
- Assist the Head Coach and support staff in planning and supervising programs for player training, conditioning, and drug education and testing.
- Assist the Head Coach in recommending students for athletic grant-in-aid scholarships from Georgia Tech.
- Assist the Head Coach with the recruitment of student-athletes for the Men's Basketball program.
- Direct Men's Basketball program student-athletes to the appropriate resources for assistance regarding financial aid, academic advisement, and general student needs provided by Georgia Tech or the Association.
- Assist the Head Coach and support staff with providing appropriate program safety requirements.
- Promote an atmosphere of compliance within the Men's Basketball program, Cooperate with the Association compliance office regarding NCAA rules and policies, including reporting requirements. Make a determined effort to utilize available compliance resources.
- Support the Head Coach and Association administration in monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes to facilitate pursuit of a baccalaureate degree.
- Participate in public relations and promotions for the Men's Basketball program as assigned, and support the Communications and Public Relations department in the preparation of Men's Basketball program materials and resources.
- Partner with The Alexander-Tharpe Fund as needed in fundraising efforts to support the Men's Basketball program, Georgia Tech, and the Association, including encouraging contributions.
- Assist the Head Coach in overseeing the preparation and update of the equipment inventory for the Men's Basketball program in partnership with the equipment manager.
- Assist the Head Coach with expending operational resources budgeted to the Men's Basketball program in a manner consistent with Georgia Tech and Association policies.
- Represent Georgia Tech the Association as requested with efforts and initiatives involving Georgia Tech partners, including the Alexander-Tharpe Fund and Alumni Association, and with intercollegiate athletics organizations such as the NCAA and ACC.
- Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with key internal and external constituents.
- Exhibit Georgia Tech and the Association's core values of character, excellence, teamwork, and innovation. Promote these values throughout the organization with a focus on fulfilling the mission of Georgia Tech and the Association.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Work Experience
- Minimum two years of job related experience; coaching experience in intercollegiate athletics strongly preferred

- Ability to work outside of typical buiness hours as needed, potentially including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
