The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Drive a culture of ‘Safety First’ in all tasks and activities.
- Lead daily safety meetings with team

- Lead the daily execution of the 24 hour production plan. This requires short term planning, inventory management, and being able to determine the most efficient way to utilize existing assets.

- Provide vacation and illness coverage for Production Supervisors.
- Supervise a work force of union operators, including coaching and discipline.
- Help respond and investigate SHE, production and quality related incidents to identify and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in generating, revising and training operators on operating procedures.
- Assist in new employee training, refresher training and basic safety training.
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
- High school education
- A minimum of 5 years production experience in the chemical industry
- Must have supervisory experience
- Must be willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts including nights and weekends
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); MS Access experience a plus
- Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are a must
- Applicant must be authorized to work in the United States

Ready-Mix Equipment & Fleet Manager – East Texas and Louisiana
Position Overview:
The position is responsible for managing and optimizing the equipment and fleet for the Texas Materials Ready-Mix business, with a focus on safety, reliability, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. The position requires collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders. This position also requires technical and financial skills, performance management skills, and industry knowledge. The role is expected to work closely with the area Vice-President, General Managers and Shop Managers and their teams through hands-on management and visibility in the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize the fleet, including procurement, disposal, and maintenance, with a focus on safety, reliability, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in driving effective employee-driven safety culture.
- Mentor and manage the Shop Managers, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Work with local teams to ensure revenue and recharge rates are set properly for the equipment, shop, and delivery departments.
- Complete monthly financial review, communicate results, and provide follow-up to execute on action items and ensure sustainability.
- Hold Shop Managers accountable for delivering results and ensuring follow-through with initiatives & strategic plans.
- Ensure total cost of ownership exceeds industry standards to provide the organization a competitive advantage in market.
- Maintain & optimize a multi-year capital fleet plan (target fleet), including scheduling of purchases & disposals to maximize utilization.
- Routinely visit shops, plants, and job sites to help identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with Area General Manager to provide CAP-EX justification and support.
- Complete component life cycle analysis and optimize asset base.
- Guide efforts to schedule and manage purchases, rentals, leases, and disposals to maximize utilization and minimize cost.
- Promote partnering and optimization with OEM’s, dealers, and vendors.
- Work with the Area General Manager to optimize operating conditions at sites to improve overall equipment performance (i.e. improve haul roads, stockpile management, right size fleet for operation, etc.).
- Utilize performance management skills, communication, and knowledge to ensure financial success, safety awareness, and optimization.
- Champion the development, improvement, implementation and use of shop and equipment excellence programs including: Compliance/Risk, CMMS, Tire Programs, Oil Analysis, Contamination Control, Telematics, 5S Program, Parts/Inventory Management, Maintenance Processes, Fuel Management, Preventive Maintenance, Planning and Scheduling, and vendor repairs.
- Maintain, train, and execute high utilization of equipment software and processes (CMMS, B2W, Track-It, Telematics, Inspections, etc.).
- Drive Innovation through the application of new technology.
Knowledge & Skill Requirement:
- Proven ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of the organization.

Position Description: The purpose of the position is to operate heavy equipment safely, productively and efficiently. The position could require manual labor consisting of operating a variety of hand tools to include shovels, rakes and pick axes.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on plant equipment to support safe and reliable operations.
- Inspect, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks and document work performed.
- Safely operate tools, machinery, and mobile equipment required for maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members to support continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
What We Are Looking For
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and apply maintenance and repair techniques.
- Capability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
- Commitment to safety practices and following established procedures.
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
