Job Description

  • Pick and pack orders of signs & sign supplies in preparation for shipping to customers.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks by hand as well as a forklift.
  • Ship and receive orders, utilizing RF scanners & Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Maintain clear and accurate records on all inventory.
  • Accurately measure and cut custom size product pieces for customers using panel saw and/or roll slitter.
  • Examine workplace conditions daily to ensure they conform to applicable OSHA standards and Grimco’s Warehouse Safety Checklist.
  • Assist couriers and delivery drivers’ load vehicle, verify load for accuracy, and work to maximize delivery efficiency.
  • Maintain equipment, trucks, and warehouse (e.g., cleaning/sweeping warehouse, maintenance, special projects).

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of warehouse experience
  • Knowledge of WMS, printing ticket orders, MS Office Suite, email, internet navigation.
  • Ability to compete and pass a criminal background screening.

Physical Demands

  • Requires the ability to lift, push, pull and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing 70+ pounds on a frequent basis.

How You'll Contribute:



This full-time (40hr./wk.) position is responsible for the safe and timely transportation and delivery of equipment and materials as needed between Diversified warehouses and client job sites. Additionally, this position is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the warehouse. This position is accountable for the warehouse's inventory accuracy, organization, and control of incoming shipments, as well as the timely, properly documented execution of outgoing shipments, including RMAs. The position entails a service-oriented approach; proactively supporting local and global project teams with all warehouse activities is required, as well as the ability to collaborate and communicate with a variety of other departments and warehouses.

What You'll Do:





  • This position is required to deliver products and materials to job sites and between buildings.

  • Ensure that outbound shipping requests are processed in a timely manner and in accordance with project specifications, as well as Diversified
    shipping and inventory control procedures. Confirm all documentation and data entry is complete and accurate before releasing the shipment.

  • Maintain a safe and clean warehouse facility: breakdown boxes and control waste; store shipping pallets and other warehouse materials and equipment; follow procedures and inventory control processes; comply with safety policies.

  • Unload and receive deliveries: process receipt and/or electronically log all incoming packages, based on disposition. Qualify equipment/materials and store according to warehouse layout and project specifications.

  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies utilizing RF/ Scan Gun

  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.

  • Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.

  • Weigh, and label outbound shipments, including small package and freight shipments. Recommend cost-effective shipping procedures to staff
    members. Call for couriers in response to staff requests and notify appropriate project teams when incoming courier correspondence is received.

  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor



What You'll Bring:



Required Skills/Qualifications:





  • 1+ years of experience as a delivery driver; box truck experience preferred.

  • A valid driver's license and a good driving record.

  • Possession of a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (Federal DOT MEC).

  • Must be able to obtain clearance through the DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

  • Ability to read, write and speak English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.

The Warehouse Management Specialist (WMS) is responsible for supporting production and processing with the flow of raw materials and packaging through the facility. They will do this by verifying operator documentation, controlling losses, maintaining inventory accuracy and continuous cycle counting.

  • Teco (confirm production orders completed/closed) and final verification of high losses for accounting purposes.
  • File Management of OCS and batching sheets to provide support and assist with traceability audits.
  • Assist production and warehouse in making any corrections to quantities for produced finished goods pallets.
  • Perform various work investigations, solve problems, collect data and complete work assignments as needed.
  • Ensure physical counts of raw materials for inventory control take place and any necessary adjustments to include STO/COGI are completed timely.
  • Assist operators with all WMS issues; schedule changes to meet demands, current tasks, relocations, etc.
  • Manage the inventory and disposal of obsolete materials.

Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring an Inventory Supervisor based in Nampa, ID.


Requirements

The Warehouse Supervisor supervises the implementation of all S.O.P. procedures, GMP policies, and Quality Control formats. Performs other supervisory functions in the parameters set forth by the parent company. Perform functions related to a warehouse facility. Perform shipping and receiving functions. Perform operational transactions daily.


From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

* Reports to the warehouse manager for daily operations and job assignment in an efficient and professional manner.

* Ensures all employees are punched in for their shift start.

* Performs an audit list of department daily. Submits to department manager in a timely manner.

* Trains new employees along with a full-time employee.

* Attends departmental meetings and in-services as required.

* Conduct interviews, as necessary.

* Provide reports to his or her line management.

* Cooperate with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals.

* Participates in monthly physical inventories as designated by the corporate staff, and performs cycle counts with the department manager.

* Finds cost savings within the department's daily parameters.

* Ensures efficient operation from start to finish in conjunction with production departments.

* Apply well-defined standards (costs, budgets).

* Record efficiency data.

* Checks the rotation and charging of driver's batteries.

* Processes all dispositional HOLDS with the forklift operator - verifies quantities and properly identifies in relation to the disposition.

* Propose technical and organizational improvements to his or her line management.

* Be involved in trials (machines, products, processes etc.).

* Apply the safety rules and ensure they are implemented and followed.

* Participate in analyzing occupational hazards.

* Prevent potential risks.

* Take necessary measures if people are performing unsafe acts or are in an unsafe environment.

* Apply any environmental regulations and ensure they are respected.

* Proposed improvements.

* Apply and enforce all quality programs.

* Take necessary measures when there is deviation from policies and standards.

* Participate and recommend solutions to common quality issues.

* Work closely with Quality and Food Safety Team to ensure the quality and specifications of product are continually being met.

* Act to continuously improve his/her process targets.

* Ensure the communication of the department targets and the monthly results to his /her staff.

* Participate in customers audits.

* Responsible to verify Food safety records of the department.

* Follow the Food Safety Management System.

* Key contributor to the ISO 22000 implementation. Ensure the sustainability of the food safety programs in his department.

* Comply with all Lactalis American Group Policies and Procedures.

* Uphold all rules pertaining to confidentiality of information regarding Lactalis products, recipes, and employee information.

* One Year recent Stand-Up Forklift Operation Experience.

What you’ll be doing: 

As a warehouse associate you may work in one of the following six areas: 

Warehouse Bulk/Material Handling Equipment Operator: You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick product up to 100 lbs and move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.

Warehouse Porter: You will be responsible for general cleaning and basic maintenance duties both inside and outside of the facility while adhering to safety procedures. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.

Warehouse Replenishment: You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick product up to 100 lbs and move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.

Warehouse Receiving/Putaway/Returns:  You will confirm accuracy of product and work with colleagues to address discrepancies and damages.  You will communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external contacts to clarify and resolve issues. You will be manually unloading trucks and palletizing products. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.

Warehouse Returns: You will be operating material handling equipment to move product within the warehouse.  You will be matching item quantities and descriptions to packing slips on returned items, checking in returned product and tagging it appropriate. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.

Shipping: You’ll be responsible for organizing, stacking, and shrink-wrapping customer orders on pallets.  You’ll be loading trucks manually; lifting, lowering, and carrying product in a fast-paced environment and stacking empty pallets while maintaining a safe and clean workspace as you go.   

Please note, as an SC2 associate you may be moved into any of the above roles, or SC1 roles, as needed.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications: 

  • Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience. 
  • Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally.
  • Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications).  
  • If you are hired as a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business need.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed. 
  • An ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand.
  • Must wear safety composite shoes.
  • Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience?operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack and cherry picker helpful.
