About the Role
You will be responsible to secure, maintain, and troubleshoot our computer networks so that our networks operate efficiently and meet business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, isolate and resolve network problems with minimal downtime.
- Work directly with communications providers to resolve outages.
- Provide ongoing daily support of calls coming through the helpdesk for day-to-day PC and network support from 60+ branches, external sales team, remote users and corporate office.
- Install, update, monitor and troubleshoot issues with networks, client computers, cellphones and peripherals.
- Update and Repair PC and laptops as needed.
- Computer installation and configuration.
- Maintains an inventory of equipment and parts as well as documentation of vendor activities.
- Interfaces with outsourced IT, phone and networking vendors as needed.

Qualifications
Education and Work Experience:
- Minimum 5 year level I and II support in a business network environment
- AS or BS Degree in IT related major

General Summary of Position:
Granite has an immediate need for associates in the Managed Services department to work on configurations and activations of our managed services products. POSITION SUMMARY
The Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the NOC, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our cloud infrastructure. This role involves managing a team of NOC technicians, monitoring systems, and responding to incidents and outages in real-time and most importantly, call ticket management. The NOC Manager will also be responsible for working with engineering, data center technicians and RMA support to help the operations department provide white glove service to our customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for leading the NOC in Austin and including hiring, training and retaining staff.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of NOC technicians, ensuring 24/7 coverage and effective incident response.This includes a team of NOC Technicians located in Austin and South Africa.
- Responsible for creating and managing the NOC 24/7, 365 staffing schedules.
- Implement, oversee and coordinate incident detection, response, resolution, and escalation procedures. Ensure incidents are resolved in a timely manner to minimize downtime and impact on customers.
- Maintain monitoring tools and dashboards to track the performance, availability, and security of the network and cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and refine operational processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the NOC. Identify areas for automation and optimization.
- Generate and analyze reports on network performance, incidents, and operational metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Monitor NOC metrics and report to Senior Management as necessary.
- Work closely with other Operation departments, as well as Engineering, to ensure seamless operations and effective communication during incidents.
- Ensure all operations adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to keep the NOC team updated on the latest tools, technologies, and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. Education can be waived if candidate has extensive experience in NOC operations
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in network operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role of hourly technicians, preferably within a cloud services environment.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and network monitoring tools.
- Experience with incident management, change management, and configuration management.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or CompTIA Network+ are preferred.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
- This technician will support a large federal agency's Network Infrastructure through survey, design, and deployment of structured networks and will be responsible for the upkeep of the security posture of the environment
- This is accomplished through projects such as new installations, life cycle replacement projects, Cable Plant and wireless installations that are compliant with commercial, TEMPEST, and NIST standards
- Lead network survey, design and installations under direction of the government

Responsibilities Include:
- Analyzes and develops telecommunications networks supporting a wide range of capabilities, including voice, data, video, and/or wireless services.
- Develops designs and plans for installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems from project inception to conclusion.
- Analyzes the problem and the characteristics of the information to be transported.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Experience:
- 2+ years of progressive information technology experience.

- Experience in analysis and design of voice networks, LAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems to support voice and data services.
- Certifications:
- DoD IAT II Certification or higher (Ex: Security+ CE)

- Clearance:
- DoD Secret clearance with a completed and adjudicated IT-I qualifying investigation.
- Location:

We are seeking a Staff Network Engineer (Team Lead) to serve as the senior technical anchor and day-to-day leader for our Network Engineering function. This role blends deep technical expertise with operational leadership-driving architecture, reliability, compliance, and performance across a modern hybrid cloud environment spanning AWS, Azure, and enterprise on-prem infrastructure.

What You'll Do
Technical Leadership & Architecture

- Architect and support complex routing, switching, firewalling, VPN, and load-balancing solutions using Cisco, FortiGate, F5, Cloudflare, and Azure/AWS native controls.
- Lead the networking components of cloud migrations, landing zones, hybrid connectivity, and acquisition integrations.
- Establish engineering standards for network architecture, automation, segmentation, and operational excellence.
Operational Ownership & Reliability
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for high-severity incidents, ensuring durable fixes and proactive risk reduction.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, observability, and alerting using LogicMonitor and cloud-native tools.
- Build and maintain SOPs, runbooks, configuration standards, and knowledge-base materials to support operational consistency.
Security, Compliance & Audit Support
- Maintain secure configurations aligned with Zero Trust principles, segmentation strategies, and firewall best practices.
- Participate in SOC2, HIPAA, HITRUST, and HITECH audits by preparing and submitting required network-related artifacts.
- Ensure strict adherence to change management-including reviewing, approving, and validating production changes.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide day-to-day technical direction, workload prioritization, and mentorship to Network Engineers and cross-functional partners.
