About the School of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech currently has over 625 undergraduate students, nearly 400 graduate students, and 55 tenure-track faculty members. Women comprise 50% of the undergraduate population, and more than 29% of the undergraduate student population identifies as a member of under-represented minority groups. Thirteen faculty members are women, and eight faculty members identify as a member of under-represented minority groups. Twenty-six faculty members hold endowed chairs or professorships with 30% of them being women faculty. Job Summary

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering () at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions in all areas of Civil Engineering. Applicants will be considered at all ranks, with a preference for the Assistant Professor rank.



Responsibilities

CEE faculty are expected to lead independent research at the cutting edge of their field and build a strong, extramurally funded research program and national/international recognition. In addition, they are expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses, mentor a diverse student body, and conduct service to the school, institute, and profession.

An earned doctorate is required by the start of the appointment.

Department Information

The Finance Area consists of eleven tenure-track faculty members and includes one endowed chair. Faculty members have diverse backgrounds and pursue a variety of research interests, including asset pricing, corporate finance, banking, household finance, labor finance, FinTech, and machine learning. The Department of History at the University of California, Berkeley, invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach courses should an opening arise.



The Department of History is generating an applicant pool of qualified instructors to teach courses in all areas of History (Africa, Ancient Greece & Rome, Byzantine, Early Modern Europe, East Asia, North America, Jewish, Late Modern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, Soviet Union, Medieval Europe, Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and other various needs), pending openings. Currently identified openings are in Africa, Europe and the Atlantic World 1650-1850, and the History of Science, Technology, and Medicine. This pool includes assignments to teach courses in the history of science, technology, and medicine, including courses that are offered together with Science, Technology, and Society (STS) and/or Data Science.



In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties may include holding regular office hours, calculating grades, advising students, preparing course materials, managing GSIs, and attending appropriate meetings/orientations, etc.
