As an Aviation Maintenance Technician, you will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in aircraft operations. Your role will involve performing a wide range of maintenance tasks on aircraft structures and systems, where your attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are critical. A Color Vision Certification may be necessary for portions of this job. Position Responsibilities:

• Perform production installations, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and alterations on aircraft structures, systems, and sub-systems, including electrical and avionics, for both standard and experimental certificated aircraft.

• Troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, and service aircraft and engine systems to ensure they are flight-ready, documenting any nonconforming materials or components according to established specifications and procedures.

• Conduct audits and surveillance of manufacturing and quality assurance processes, including customer/FAA coordination, configuration change verification, conformity inspections, and airworthiness inspections.

• Utilize technical specifications, sketches, manuals, and FAA publications to effectively complete work assignments.

• Maintain company and FAA-required records and inspection forms while ensuring a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

• Plan and organize work packages to promote safe and efficient operations, meeting predetermined schedules.

• Operate various information systems, including company web-based systems and Microsoft Office products, to perform assigned tasks.

• Interpret and adhere to airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and other approved data.

• Apply mathematical calculations to set up and use precision measuring tools for accurate measurements.

• Create production aids as needed to facilitate work assignments.

• Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits for assigned work.

• Exchange information with suppliers, customers, or company representatives to explain or demonstrate operations and tests.

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

• Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights up to 35 lbs.

• Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.

• Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.

Aerospace Technician and Mechanic Aptitude Virtual Job Tryout: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process.  Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with aircraft maintenance on powered aircraft with military, airline or certificated repair station background (an A&P certificate and/or completion of A&P training at an accredited institution will count for 2 years of experience) OR with troubleshooting electrical systems or complex mechanical systems (e.g. hydraulics, pneumatics, heavy machinery, diesel, construction).

• Must be willing to work any shift, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate. Please note your certificate number on your resume if you are certified.

• 5+ of aircraft maintenance experience on powered aircraft with military, airline or certificated repair station background (an A&P certificate and/or completion of A&P training at an accredited institution will count for 2 years of experience)

The Electrical Manufacturing Engineer provides technical expertise to optimize highly automated manufacturing equipment and processes through visual systems, automation, and advanced levels of process control. The role also develops, plans, organizes, and leads reliability, and improvement projects in the plant. This position provides technical support to Operations and the Maintenance team at our Kalamazoo Michigan aluminum casting and extrusion plant. Please apply to requisition 1384 at you will work on:

• Robot programming experience - preferably Fanuc.

Level III Responsibilities

-Mechanical: Greasing and changing parts, making movement adjustments to machinery, aligning linear bearings and motors; drilling, grinding and cutting, basic lathe and milling, welding and modifying parts.

The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for Construction Project Manager - Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division

About the Division
The Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division (HBMD) is responsible for maintaining and improving Broward County's roadway infrastructure. This includes operating and maintaining three bascule bridges, over 90 fixed bridges, and managing mosquito control operations. HBMD also oversees stormwater drainage improvements, sidewalk repairs, street resurfacing and patching, guardrail maintenance, and right-of-way mowing and cleaning.

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and execution of roadway, drainage, and bridge maintenance and repair projects. This role is critical to ensuring the safety, functionality, and longevity of Broward County's transportation infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing public works projects from inception through completion, including design, procurement, construction oversight, and documentation. Strong communication skills and proficiency in project management tools and design software are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage infrastructure projects from planning through construction closeout
• Prepare construction plans using GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
• Develop technical specifications and bid documents
• Conduct field reviews and on-site construction inspections
• Compile and maintain project documentation, including contractor invoicing and as-built records
• Monitor project schedules and ensure timely milestone completion
• Track project budgets and financial performance
• Prioritize maintenance and repair needs based on condition assessments and operational priorities
• Provide technical guidance to internal teams and construction crews

Works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, Business, Economics or closely related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in State of Florida
• Florida Engineer Intern License (EIT)
• Storm Water and Erosion Certificate
• Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) or ACI Concrete Inspection Certificate and/or General Contract License
• Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Certificate
• At least four (4) years of experience in construction engineering inspection following Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) standards
• At least four (4) years of experience using Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Design Standards, Plans Preparation Manual, and/or Standard Roadway and Bridge Construction Specifications
• At least four (4) years of intermediate to advanced experience using AutoCAD, MicroStation, Open Road Designer in a roadway and/or bridge maintenance or construction environment
• At least four (4) years of experience in large scale roadway drainage analysis or design
• At least one (1) year of experience with GIS in a roadway and/or bridge maintenance or construction environment

The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.

Develops and prepares engineering plans and designs for a variety of construction projects; estimates quantities and costs of such projects.

Assists consultants in the development of construction projects; issues work orders to consultants, surveyors and testing labs; reviews consultants' plans and specifications at various stages of development for conformance to design standards, completeness and accuracy; monitors consultants' cost estimates and verifies consultant's invoices and recommends payment.

Coordinates bid advertisements; schedules and assists in conducting pre-bid conferences; assists in evaluating bids and making recommendations for award of contract.

Schedules and assists in conducting pre-bid construction meetings with consultants, contractors and subcontractors; issues Notice to Proceed to contractors; reviews field inspection reports.

Assists in the preparation of schedules and monitors construction progress; assists in the preparation of change orders; maintains records of consultant's payments.

Assists in the inspection of projects for substantial completion and prepares punch list of any deficiencies; arranges for correction of defects by contractor during warranty period and conducts inspection at end of warranty period to ensure correction of defects.

Prepares required paperwork for capitalizing and closing the project; performs special investigations, sites analyses and feasibility studies as required and submits technical and management reports.

Meets with consultants, contractors, utility organizations, city, state, federal agencies, civic associations, business and community leaders, property owners and attorneys; assists with the preparation of the budget for capital expenditures.

Makes recommendations regarding hiring, discipline and promotions of subordinates; authorizes leave; evaluates employee performance.

Performs related work as assigned.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

Level III Responsibilities

-Mechanical: Greasing and changing parts, making movement adjustments to machinery, aligning linear bearings and motors; drilling, grinding and cutting, basic lathe and milling, welding and modifying parts.

-Electrical: Reading schematics, using voltmeters, troubleshooting relay and PLC logic panels.

-Pneumatic: Adjusting flows, change/repair components

-Plumbing: Replace PVC, copper, galvanized and/or steel piping including making modifications

-Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Maximo computer software.
