Technical Designer - Lifestyle Brand

Our client, a fashion brand, is seeking a Technical Designer to join their team on a contract basis in their New York office.

Responsibilities:

• Execute the technical design process from development to final fit.
• Responsible for analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications.
• Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications.
• Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections.
• Create CAD flats for tech packs.
• Direct Assistant/ Associate Technical Designers.
• Lead fittings and oversee fit comments.
• Partner closely with the design team.

Requirements:

• 4-5+ years of working experience in Technical Design
• Extensive knowledge of garment construction
• Examples of tech packs or CAD flats
• Technical fluency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel and PLM systems.
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Capable of maintaining organization while handling multiple projects & priorities
• Strong time management & problem-solving skills
