The Social Worker's primary objective is to work collaboratively with the larger healthcare team helping patients and their families understand and cope with medical, psychological, social and practical concerns related to their illness and treatment. In this capacity the main focus for the Social Worker is counseling Acton Medical Associates patients and their families. The Social Worker understands the continuity of care for patient needs, and works to maximize the patient/family's ability to meet these needs within their social and financial network.
Education and/or Experience
- Master's degree from an accredited school of social work.
- Current LICSW required.
- 3 to 5 years prior experience in social services; experience with physically ill population preferred.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, regional and local human services agencies.
- Working knowledge of the following:
- state laws regarding the reporting of neglect/abuse of children, people with disabilities and senior citizens;
- state laws regarding individuals at risk for harm to themselves and others;
- HIPAA regulations regarding patient information and records.

Position Summary
The Accounting & Compliance Manager is responsible for NPDC's financial bookkeeping, HR compliance, and grant administration. This role ensures that the organization maintains accurate financial records, meets all employment and reporting requirements, and remains audit-ready as NPDC grows.
This position is intentionally scoped as a part-time, senior administrative role focused on accuracy, documentation, and compliance. It does not supervise staff or manage day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping (Primary Responsibility)
• Manage daily bookkeeping using QuickBooks and .
• Process and reconcile automated daily financial transactions, including invoices, vendor payments, and reimbursements.
• Maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for the Executive Director and Board.
• Manage vendor payment records and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with external CPA and auditors on tax filings, environmental and regulatory reporting, and annual audits.
• Maintain strong internal controls and audit-ready documentation.
Human Resource Compliance
• Manage HR compliance for approximately 18 employees, including personnel files and documentation, benefits administration coordination, and compliance with employment and labor requirements.
• Coordinate payroll processing with external provider.
• Support policy compliance and documentation.
• Partner with the Deputy Director on HR management matters.
Grants Administration and Reporting
• Support grant administration following a handful of awards, including tracking grant expenditures, maintaining required documentation, and monitoring reporting deadlines.
• Submit quarterly financial and administrative grant reports prepared with the Executive Director
Organizational Compliance and Records
• Maintain organized financial, HR, and grant files.
• Support insurance, contract, and compliance documentation needs.
• Ensure systems and records support audits, funding, and organizational growth.

Essential Job Functions:
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate mobility, coordination, strength and current level of function.
- Responsible for administration, evaluation, and interpretation of tests and measurements to determine functional goals and outcomes.
- Provide a written evaluation and plan of care defining physical therapy needs, goals, progress and expected outcomes.
- Delivery of physical therapy services to comply with prescribed physician orders.
- Maintains plan of care by performing timely documentation of client performance, modifying goals and treatment as needed, and determine discharge care plans as appropriate.
- Responsible for discharge planning, including collaborating and educating the patient and his/her caretakers on home exercise plan to follow discharge.
- Participates in coordination of services with health care team, physicians, parent/guardians, nurses, etc.
- Documents according to policy and procedure and requires minimal supervision or instruction.
- Documents effectively resulting in no technical or clinical denials subsequent to review of documentation by payers
- Maintain effective communication between staff, healthcare team members and family. Serve as a resource consultant for clinical staff.

- Completes OASIS assessments where allowed by state professional practice and regulation.

In this role, the clinical instructor:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Intensive Care Unit at BJWCH is a 4 bed ICU environment for patients that need critical care support for their medical condition or after a surgical procedure. The unit team also serves as members of the clinical emergency response team for the hospital. The patients in the ICU are both ICU level of care as well as intermediate/stepdown. We're committed to developing our team, this position offers a clear path for growth into a Team Lead/Charge Nurse role. The unit complexity is growing along with the entire BJWCH hospital!

Med/Surg ICU, Post-op Ortho, Colorectal, Gen Surg and Medical ICU patients comprise the majority of post surgical patients that are admitted to the ICU. In addition ICU RN's respond to all in house codes.

Orthopedic/Neuro Spine and Acute Rehabilitation at Missouri Baptist offers a 34-bed unit for patients undergoing joint replacements, back surgeries and other orthopedic procedures with. Included in this nursing area is a 10-bed Rehabilitation Unit which provides services between acute and long-term care. The patient care team researches patient lifestyle, function and mobility, and customizes care plans to return patients to their home setting.
