Mayo Clinic's Division of General Internal Medicine in Rochester is one of the largest academic general internal medicine divisions in the world - serving as the gateway in evaluating and caring for adult patients that may have unexplained symptoms and/or complex medical conditions. Consultative Medicine Clinic (a section of GIM) provides consultative medical care to patients that reside outside of Olmsted county in Minnesota. Consultative Medicine sees new patients to Mayo Clinic for an initial comprehensive evaluation. The LPN role in Consultative Medicine includes, but is not limited to, patient visits (face to face and via telephone) review of patient health history, medication review, immunization administration, focused nutrition assessments, and blood pressure visits. Position Summary
CT Techs are responsible for performing CT imaging of patients within standards of practice and protocols.
Additional responsibilities include rooming patients and other Medical Assistant duties as necessary when not
conducting CT scans.
• Performs CT imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted
standards of practice and protocols.

Job Summary and QualificationsCertified Surgical Technologist (OR Tech)
We are currently seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (Certified OR Tech). As a Certified Surgical or Operating Room Tech, you greet our patients, comfort them and transport them to the surgical suite. Once in the operating room, you will perform technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for our surgical patients. Typical duties may include:
- Assemble supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures
- Prepare sterile instrument table for your procedures
- Assist in positioning patients and preparing patient’s skin for surgery
- Maintain sterile techniques and actively monitor situations that could lead to breaches in sterile technique
- Assist the surgical team during procedures which may include passing instruments, sponges and sutures
- Assist in monitoring patients
- Gather equipment for cleaning/sterilization after procedures
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved surgical technologist program required
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist required (NCCT, NBSTSA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Hospital-based OR Tech experience preferred
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
- Team player attitude

Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Certified Surgical Tech, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will contribute to the company’s mission and vision by assisting with the provision of safe and effective nursing care in accordance with a defined scope of practice within the operating room. This may include: direct patient care and observation, scrubbing and assisting the surgeon at the operative field, surgical room turnover between cases, collection and recording of pertinent clinical data in the medical record and consistent collaboration with the Registered Nurse in clinical decision making.
What you will do in this role:
- Demonstrate necessary practical, technical, or specialized skills required for the role of the surgical technician in accordance with the Association of Surgical Technologists
- Assist in preparing the operative suite for surgery by checking and gathering supplies, equipment, and instruments
- Ensure that surgical asepsis is maintained in the handling of instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, needles, and dressings
- Assist in the turnover of the operating room suites between cases, disposing of trash and linens, and cleaning of equipment and environmental surfaces
- Prepare procedure room for use the following day by bringing in equipment, setting up, "pulling cases" accurately, and reporting to supervisor items that are needed and not available
Qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program as required per facility practice and state regulatory requirement; otherwise preferred
- Surgical Tech Certification
- One year experience in an operating room setting (preferably in an ambulatory surgery center)
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment ***Online certification not acceptable
