Position Overview

We are seeking an Operations Manager with experience in manufacturing, logistics, or defense supply chains to support daily operations, government contract compliance, and supply chain coordination.

The Position


The Communications Director leads strategic communication and engagement initiatives that promote transparency and meaningful collaboration with community members and stakeholders. This position provides executive leadership for the City’s communications and community engagement functions and reports directly to the City Manager. This position is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive citywide communications strategy to ensure consistent, accurate, and transparent messaging across all City departments and platforms. The Director serves as the City’s primary spokesperson and leads media relations, public information initiatives, and crisis and emergency communications while advising the City Manager and executive leadership on communication strategies that support City priorities and initiatives.


The Communications Director oversees a newly restructured department responsible for public information, digital communications, marketing, creative services, multimedia production, and community engagement. Salary

Essential Functions and Duties

The Trademark Paralegal supports attorneys in the overall operations of the firm. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 


  • First cut at availability searches: run the reports and conduct internet searches for common law uses, identify conflicting uses to be included in report, and begin draft of search report.
  • Review watch reports.
  • Basic investigation for enforcement opinions like prior registrations, use, users, etc.
  • Conduct research in TMEP, etc.
  • Firm understanding of trademark concepts like filing bases, use in commerce, and specimens to support ability for handling correspondence with clients and foreign associates.
  • Prepare Office Action report letters including first draft of substantive comments.
  • Ability to draft first cut of more substantive documents like basic office action arguments.
  • Assist attorneys in enforcement actions including TTAB proceedings and proceedings in state and federal courts.


Required Experience

  • Maintain files and track docket deadlines.
  • Answer emails and work with clients/foreign associates to get info we need for filings, etc.
  • Prepare estimates, provide timelines, and explain basic procedures for clients.
  • Work independently with foreign associates and clients to get materials we need, like POAs, other forms, etc.
  • Conduct correspondence with clients and foreign associates regarding trademark prosecution and enforcement.

At the DMC, health and well-being are important to us, so we provide a range of benefits and options to help meet the needs of all eligible employees. In addition to a range of healthcare plans, including higher and lower deductible options, we offer dental, vision and an employee assistance plan. Basic life insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance are provided for free to eligible plan members. Employees can also choose to participate in one of several supplemental life insurance and/or disability plans, a legal services plan and an identity protection plan. For those employees who are looking for support to care for family members, we also offer child and elder care programs.
