TITLE: CRITICAL SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN II, BATTERY
LOCATION: Dallas, TX (50% Travel)
POSITION SUMMARY:
A Critical Systems Technician II, Battery is responsible for startups, certifications, preventative maintenance, and scheduled maintenance for battery systems related to Uninterruptable Power Supply systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the battery replacements and new installations.
- Assist, as necessary, with preventative maintenance of batteries with minimal disruption to customer.
- Assist in the warehouse when needed.
- Interact effectively with internal and external customers.
- Follow operational, maintenance and emergency methods of procedure (MOPs)
- Ensure strict adherence to critical facility work rule and safety procedures.
- Ability to use hand and general maintenance tools and equipment.
- Keep job site clean during replacement, installs, and maintenance.
- Assist with work in other service divisions (Switch Gear, Operations, HVAC, etc.) as needed.
- Work from schematic diagrams, sketches, and verbal instructions.
- Learn how todisconnect and connectsealedbatteries in cabinets and open racks.
- Learn how to build flooded cell batteryracks, and spill containment systems.
- Learn how to install flooded cell batteries onto rack systems in thecustomerscritical space.
- Learn how to enter pre-installation test readings into our reporting format thru laptop computer.
- Learn how to collect data from PM services and importinto files for reporting purposes.
- Gain experience from preventive maintenance, trouble diagnosis, routine and emergency maintenance and repairs with minimum direct supervision to DC batterysystems
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Clean driving records a must
- Safe operation of department equipment
- Elementary fix/repair techniques based on directed supervision
- Knowledge of or ability to learn basic AC/DC theory, electronic components, and electronic circuitry
- Complete training on:
- Use of Digital multimeter for AC and DC diagnostic measurements
- Use of Amp Clamp and flexible CT in DC and AC measures
- Use of AlberCellcorderfor use as a battery testing and maintenance tool for a multitude of various battery designs and chemistries
- Show understanding of proper use of:
- Isolation devices to control available voltage potentials.
- Necessary use of Arc-Flash suit and PPE.
- Show competency in the connections of series, parallel, and series-parallel battery strings.
- Understand torque values, torque-mark application, and visual inspection of completed battery cabinet installations.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel.
Certificates and Licenses:
- OSHA 10-hour certification

- Maintenance Work Planning & Scheduling:
- Lead the detailed development, coordination, and control of maintenance and project work packages to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution, particularly during facility ramp-up and ongoing operations.
- Develop and maintain integrated schedules for preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities, including weekend and shutdown plans, utilizing advanced planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Maximo, SAP).

The General Manager (GM) βBattery Testing is responsible for the full P&L, operational leadership, commercial growth, and regulatory compliance of a mobility-focused TIC laboratory. The lab supports automotive, EV, aerospace, rail, and advanced mobility customers with testing, inspection, and certification services.
The GM ensures technical excellence, regulatory compliance (ISO/IEC 17025 and applicable mobility standards), strong client relationships, and profitable growth while maintaining a culture of safety, quality, and operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
1. P&L & Business Leadership
- Own full profit and loss responsibility for the mobility laboratory.
- Develop and execute annual operating plans, budgets, and growth strategies.
- Drive revenue growth across automotive, EV, aerospace, rail, and next-gen mobility sectors.
- Monitor KPIs including revenue, margin, utilization, backlog, and cash flow.
- Optimize cost structure while maintaining service quality and accreditation compliance.
2. Commercial & Customer Strategy
- Partner with Sales and Business Development to grow key accounts and strategic OEM relationships.
- Identify new service opportunities (battery testing, EMC, environmental, durability, ADAS validation, etc.).

o Work on continuous process improvements to ensure the line is operating at its designed level at all times.

o Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues with production equipment, including identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.

o Performing routine calibrations on critical measurement devices to ensure accuracy in the production process.

Purpose of Job:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all inventory movement in Distributorshipβs warehouse including loading and unloading trucks, supervising 3 or more Warehouse Workers, ordering and handling bi products and Econos and processing cores.
Job Components :
- Must be able to perform all warehouse jobs including : Receiving, Putaways, Picking, Replenishments, Packing, Palletizing, and Shipping
- Directs Warehouse Workers
- Ensures continuous process improvement
- Designs warehouse layout to maximize space utilization, productivity and safety
- Develops standard operating procedures and performance standards
- Manages inventory quality and accuracy assurance program
- Coordinates physical inventory process and cycle counts
- Develops stock location and order picking strategies to optimize work flow, space utilization, and labor productivity
- Responsible for the physical custody and overall safeguarding of the inventory
- Ensures that operations are conducted safely and within the law
- Budgets and controls expenses
- Process inbound receiving of containers or full truck, truck pallet shipments, and small parcel shipments.
- Prepares and distributes operational reports
- Operates forklift and trains Warehouse Workers in safe and efficient use of same
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years warehouse management experience including inventory control procedures and inventory/ accounting relationships
- Superior leadership, management, motivation and teamwork skills
- Strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills and able to work under pressure
- Working knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing and distribution methods
- Understanding of state, federal and interstate commerce regulations
- Strong computer skills
- Superior training and coaching skills
- Have keen understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements
- Ability to operate motor vehicles.
Scope Data:
- Full responsibility of inventory valued at $500,000 - $3.0 million
- Process flow of 1.0 β 13.0 million pieces shipped per year out of the warehouse
- Manage staff of 3 or more Warehouse Workers
Work Environment:
- Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 70+ lbs.
- Exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
* Research leads, qualify your prospects transportation needs, and win new client accounts through inside sales efforts
* Prepare and negotiate rates and terms for existing and prospective business partners to win new and ongoing freight opportunities
* Generate brokerage revenue to successfully achieve monthly and quarterly individual and team goals and initiatives
* Take ownership of your clients freight movements; be forthright about any occurrences and take full responsibility for them while proactively providing solutions to stakeholders
* Communicate with carrier operations, and any other parties handling your freight, to ensure that shipper and consignee are aware of any challenges or issues that may occur
* Grow long term relationships with existing clients by continuously displaying the highest levels of integrity, professionalism, and service at all times
Qualifications, Experience, and Education:
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Bachelor's Degree in Business or similar field of study with emphasis in; Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Sales, Marketing, or International Business preferred
* Previous experience in transportation, warehousing, or similar industry preferred
* Previous sales experience preferred

Essential Job FunctionsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
- Conduct railcar and train movements; signal crew members for movement of the engine or train using lantern, hand, and/or flag signals or radio to indicate when to start, stop, back up, or set or release air brakes
- Observe, interpret, and relay arm, lantern or radio signals and all other indications affecting movement of a train
- Operate track switches (visually check switch condition and direction) to change the direction of the engine or cars within yard limits or on the main railroad; apply or release hand brakes to switch or perform other duties
- Inspect the condition of the train and equipment in movement and while stationary
- Couple air connections between railcars and railcar movers when making up trains
- Assist with other projects and perform other duties as assigned
- Ensure compliance with all train orders, signals, and railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations, and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)
- Monitor track conditions and report any issues
- Perform ER checks utilizing technology in the form of a tablet and/or computer for all arriving and departing trains
- Follow OSHA safety standards and wear required PPE
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.

- High school/GED education completed, higher education is a plus
- Must be able to lift/push/pull at least 50 pounds
- Minimum 1 year of rail conducting experience
