The Onsite EAP Counselor is a professional position responsible for providing onsite and/or virtual services to either a dedicated customer or customers in our overall book of business. Responsibilities range from assessment and referral, individual consultations, management consultations, training, and critical incident response. An Onsite EAP Counselor/Dedicated Consultant may also provide consultation to HR, program managers and supervisors on workplace and organizational issues.
The Onsite Dedicated Workplace Consultant/EAP Counselor is a professional position responsible for providing dedicated services to either a specific customer or customers in our overall book of business. Responsibilities range from assessment and referral, individual and management consultations, training, and critical incident response. An Onsite EAP/Dedicated Consultant may also provide consultation to HR, program managers and supervisors on workplace and organizational issues.
**This is a per diem role for a total of 6 hours per week (hours are guaranteed). Position is non-exempt status and paid on an hourly basis. **

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct solution focused on consultations: helping clients define goals, plan action and gain insight
  • Assess and refer to appropriate programs and services including but not limited to: Worklife, behavioral health, substance abuse/chemical dependency and community-based resources
  • Assist with referrals for members needing ongoing/additional services
  • Provide limited follow-up care monitoring (following up with employees and/or providers to ensure the safety of employees, continuation of treatment, etc.)
  • Provide manager consultation services on a variety of work-related issues such as performance management, trauma impacting the workplace, organizational change, individual employee crisis intervention, coaching, and Work-life issues
  • Provide crisis intervention and management support in response to Critical Incidents/Disruptive Events
  • Conduct on-site or virtual training or educational support group services for managers and employees (e.g. wellness seminars, Health fairs, Lunch & Learns)
  • Participate in monthly 1 on 1's, team meetings, and other customer meetings as required
  • Utilize UHG computer to accurately and thoroughly document member contact/case documentation accessing appropriate clinical case management system (s) within departmental time frame
  • Follow internal ethical and regulatory privacy policies such as HIPAA, maintain confidentiality and private health information of members. Follow state and federal licensing practices
  • Other projects assigned by manager

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters / Doctoral degree in a recognized behavioral health discipline
  • Current, unrestricted license at the independent practice level for the state of Oregon
  • 3+ years of experience conducting individual sessions as a fully licensed behavioral health clinician
  • Computer hardware and software proficiency required with proficiency with all MS Office applications
  • Proven solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven solid organizational skills with the ability to manage stressful situations and multiple competing priorities
  • Reside in the state of Oregon

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CEAP or CEAP qualified
  • Training in EAP, workplace, and organizational dynamics

You will be expected to become the subject matter expert in cash services with full ownership and a thorough understanding of the end-to-end model. You must also have the ability to understand accounting requirements, at a high level, related to trade classifications and treatment of assets within Accounting Book of Record  and downstream reporting. You must also be able to analyze and present cash clearing account reconciliation metrics.

The team functions alongside other Centers of Excellence in Public, Privates, Mortgage Loans and Bank Loan Securities and has opportunities to contribute to the development of the Operations organization. This role offers an opportunity to be part of the team enabling administering over $250B of General Account (GA) portfolio operations end-to-end; through partnering with investment management, middle-office data management, and technology teams; actively monitoring exposures; managing risk; and managing a team of specialists. This leadership role will set direction for the team, contribute to the development of the vision, influence refinement of operating model and processes, and be a subject matter expert for operational matters. The Director plays a key role in the execution of projects to scale, automating and streamlining processes within the CoE. An additional critical responsibility is to manage resource planning and capacity analysis to utilize onshore and offshore teams to effectively deliver objectives for the CoE.

The Impact

  • Lead direct teams to monitor cash positions within MassMutual’s investment and accounting book of record
  • Enable the teams to provide seamless operational execution on third party and affiliated managers’ transactions, including cash reconciliations
  • Participate in discussions with critical stakeholders and enablers, including Technology (ETX) to define operating model, enable improvement projects and initiatives, digitizing and automation efforts to improve operational performance

7. Prepare executive and regulatory reports, dashboards, and key performance and risk indicators to measure program readiness and resiliency risks to the client.

8. Ensure readiness for audits and examinations in alignment with FFIEC and other regulatory expectations.

9. Develop and maintain working relationships with business continuity professional organizations and local emergency response groups.

10. Keep abreast of business continuity best practices and develop recommendations to apply appropriate practices across the client to management.

Marginal Job Duties and Responsibilities (30%)

• Review and approve all written procedures to validate information in the documentation prior to publication and distribution.

• Perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Manager.

• Works in an office environment. Must be able to work after hours (evenings/weekends) as required.

Special Availability and Travel Requirements

• Must carry a cell phone or other mobile device during working hours and after-hours.

• Must be available for disaster/emergency situations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Must be willing to work outside normal business hours or for an extended period of time when unplanned absences or emergencies occur, either on site or from a remote location.

• May be required to independently attend meetings, national conferences, and workshops both on and off island related to business contingency or IT continuity to learn new information and develop working relationships with other business continuity management professionals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required Education or Equivalent Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Information Technology or related field (Master’s preferred).

Preferred Education or Equivalent Experience

• Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or equivalent, or must be able to obtain and maintain certification within 1 year of hire date.

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in management and 3 years in business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management or operational resilience in banking or financial services.

• Must have excellent oral, written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, analytical, planning and problem-solving skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Must have a demonstrated history of recommending alternative solutions for improvement and success, to identifying potential risk areas to the bank, and be able to report this information to management.

Field of Experience

• Excellent analytical skills to evaluate and develop alternative solutions for improvement and success.

• Good understanding of the bank’s business functions/operations.

• Knowledge of FFIEC guidance and operational risk frameworks.

• Good working knowledge and proficiency of various software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
