The Specifics of the Role

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in life sciences manufacturing process engineering within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or advanced therapy environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting at least one major life sciences manufacturing modality, such as:
• Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs)
• Fill–finish (aseptic or non-aseptic)
• Advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs), including cell and gene therapies
• mRNA
• Vaccines
• Active pharmaceutical ingredients (API)
• Oral solid dosage (OSD)
• Exposure to additional modalities, platforms, or production technologies is preferred but not required.

Compensation

Overview & Purpose

Precis Engineering is seeking a mid-level Process Utilities Engineer with 5 years or more of experience focusing on the design and implementation of Clean Utility Systems (WFI generation and purified water systems) and Equipment Cleaning in Place (CIP) systems for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and/or chemical industries. This individual must have a strong engineering background and a thorough understanding of equipment design, CIP design, US Pharmacopia and BPE standards.

The individual will be resourceful and goal-oriented, desiring challenging work in a dynamic environment. Process is a young business endeavor for Precis and this individual will have an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset towards the long-term growth and viability of the group. He/she will be comfortable in a process execution role as well as representing the process discipline as a technical resource on larger, multi-discipline project teams. The individual will work be responsible for generating process-related project deliverables such as P&IDs, utility diversity calculations, user requirements, equipment specifications, piping design, and corresponding narratives/reports.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for execution and coordination of multi-discipline engineering teams for process projects comprised of Precis, client, and third-party personnel.
• Work in conjunction with a subject matter expert in design and implementation for process and clean utilities for pharmaceutical manufacturing clients.

Job Summary: Generally responsible for supervision and technical direction over a team of engineers and designers when functioning as a lead engineer. As lead engineer, responsibilities include total delivery of the civil/structural deliverables and services on time, within performance budget and meeting quality expectations. • Reviewing and approving all civil/structural deliverables.

Position Summary:

The Electrical Engineer provides all engineering, technical and administrative support required to take a project from start through completion. This individual will provide AutoCAD/Revit drafting (as required), calculations, system design for various power and low voltage systems, is responsible for client satisfaction, and coordinates manpower assignments and other project related functions as specified by the supervisor. This individual ensures that his or her work is of the highest quality in accordance with company design standards.

Essential Functions

●       Performs electrical engineering by applying the principles of electrical design including but not limited to power, data, fire alarm, security, and site distribution systems and equipment. 

●       Provide direction via sketches and drafting markups for project designers and EITs, including floor plans, details, elevations, ceiling plans, revisions, and other industry standard design drawings/documentation required to accurately depict the electrical design on a project level.

●       Coordinate with architects, engineers, technicians, clients, sub-consultants and others in the design of electrical systems on a project level basis.

●       Leads the creation of project documents. Systems Deployment Engineer (Linux / OT Infrastructure)

We’re partnering with a leading innovator in energy storage and renewable technology to hire a Systems Deployment Engineer supporting cutting-edge infrastructure across utility-scale energy projects.

This role sits at the intersection of IT and Operational Technology (OT) — focused on deploying, configuring, and supporting the systems that power real-world energy environments. If you enjoy working hands-on with Linux systems, networking, and automation in mission-critical environments, this is a unique opportunity to step into the rapidly growing battery energy storage (BESS) space.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deploy and configure Linux-based servers, edge devices, and virtualized environments (Ubuntu, VMware, Proxmox)
• Build and maintain automation scripts (Ansible, Bash, Python) for scalable system deployment
• Support industrial networking and communications (VLANs, firewalls, Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA, MQTT)
• Manage and optimize databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB) for high-frequency operational data
• Work hands-on with hardware commissioning and site deployments across operational energy sites
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system integration issues in uptime-critical environments
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and field teams

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, or IT/OT environments
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration
• Experience with automation tools and scripting (Ansible, Bash, Python, etc.)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, firewalls, routing)
• Experience supporting or deploying systems in production / uptime-critical environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work across hardware + software systems

Nice-to-Have (But Not Required)

• Experience in energy, utilities, or industrial environments
• Exposure to battery energy storage systems (BESS) or renewable energy projects
• Familiarity with SCADA / ICS / OT systems
• Experience with containerization or edge computing environments
