The Associate General Manager is responsible for working in partnership with the General Manager to maximize sales, provide an exceptional shopping experience for the customer, and manage the storeβs visual and operational standard, including the storeβs shrink %, wage cost and Clienteling. The Associate General Manager will support with staffing, training and developing high performance teams and assume responsibility as the βManager-on-Dutyβ in the absence of the General Manager.
Responsibilities:
SALES LEADERSHIP:
- Assumes Managerβs role in supervising staff and creating an outstanding sales and customer service environment in absence of General Manager

- Assists with setting weekly, monthly and seasonal goals for staff
- Works with customers and models excellent customer service and Clienteling skills.
- Develops Sales Associates to be experts in the selling steps and client building through utilizing the Sales Training Programs and the Client Books
ASSOCIATE DEVELOPMENT:
- Ensure associates are trained on product knowledge, selling skills, customer service and operations to support the brand experience
- Coaches team members on performance and shares feedback with General Manager creating alignment and consistency
- Team sells with Sales Associates to contribute to the development of the selling team
- Creates enthusiasm and excitement within store to motivate high performance teams
OPERATIONS EXCELLENCE:
- Protects store payroll by assisting General Manager with hiring process and creating store schedules that protect the business on allowable payroll hours
- Controls companyβs assets, i.e. key control, loss prevention measures, inventory paperwork and company standards of conduct
- Strives for 100% accuracy and compliance in cash, inventory, fixtures and property
STORE STANDARDS:
- Helps execute floor-set and promotional directives in partnership with General Manager and/or Product DOR
- Supervises the overall cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and backroom ensuring store appearance and atmosphere supports and reinforces the brand image
- Understands, supports and complies with all company policies and procedures
- Helps control all company assets (i.e., payroll hours, fixtures, cash, inventory and property) and completes all paperwork promptly and accurately
MERCHANDISING/VISUAL:
- Ensure execution of effective merchandising strategies and directives

- Ensure presentation of all displays, fixtures and all visual areas are reflective of current visual direction
- Identify and communicate product concerns in a timely manner

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years Store and/or Assistant Manager position/experience in womenβs apparel (or related field)
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
- Strong verbal and communication skills.
- Strong observation skills β identifying and assessing customer and employee behavior, reactions, floor awareness, etc.
- Ability to retain and utilize data, i.e. names, merchandise, information, policies and procedures.

The base hourly range for this role is between $32 and $35. The relevant base salary will vary depending on wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications. The Assistant General Manager of Concessions is responsible for assisting the General Manager with the efficient, professional and profitable operation of the venue. The Assistant General Manager of Concessions aids the General Manager in overseeing every managerial, f/t and p/t position, and ensuring full compliance with state and federal labor laws, sanitation and food-related ordinances, and alcohol service regulations. The Assistant General Manager of Concessions will actively supervise, coach, counsel, direct, train and mentor employees in meeting company quality standards, and will independently initiate and authorize all employment actions such as hiring, termination, suspension, discipline, and promotion. The Assistant General Manager of Concessions will actively and independently manage all aspects of employee relations to ensure a positive, harmonious, compliant and cooperative work environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- To achieve operational and commercial success for the Observation Deck bar outlets.
- Drive revenue performance and maximize sales opportunities.
- Develop additional revenue streams including bar sales, promotional display changes, edge, activations, etc.
- To be fully versed in all duties within the Edge Bar operation to ensure smooth and efficient delivery proactively seeking improvements and reacting to challenges as they arise.
- Maintain a positive and active partnership with edge and Peak Event operations.
- Collaborate with edge marketing for special activations and events.
- Ensure the outlet is prepared and ready on time.
- Staffing levels are appropriately based on revenue forecasting and expected visitor ships.
- Bar/Spirits display features key products which are regularly re-filled and re-stocked in alignment with promotional campaigns and design.
- Timely customer service responds to orders by reducing waiting time, queues and cashing procedures.

The role
As General Manager, you will:

- Trains and coaches Crew Members/Crew Leaders during each shift to ensure brand standards are upheld.
- Manages and delegates daily functions of the cafΓ©, including product preparation, making quality food and smoothies, serving customers, and completing daily and weekly cleaning duties
- Ensures that safe sanitation practices are being used in handling and preparing food in the kitchen
- Conducts food inventory weekly and is able to review inventory reports and identify issues.
- Manages all ordering and inventory processes, and reconciles invoices for all products
- Hits sales goals, manages labor, and controls inventory using the Micros MyInventory program
- Accountable for cash management through the daily safe count, counting cash drawers on every shift change, and explaining and finding cash shortages
- Responsible for correcting and submitting payroll hours by the bi-weekly deadline to ensure all crew members are paid appropriately
- Performs any additional tasks necessary to operate the cafΓ©
- Attends weekly conference calls and additional training sessions as needed, as well as area meetings
- Reviews & understands Profit & Loss statements
- Expect to work a varied schedule, including weekends, holidays, late evenings and early mornings.

Job Summary:
