Product Development Manager
Job Description
Part of the Interparfums group founded in 1982, Interparfums USA develops, manufactures and distributes prestige fragrances as the exclusive worldwide licensee for Abercrombie & Fitch, Anna Sui, David Beckham, DKNY, Donna Karan, Graff, GUESS, Hollister, MCM, Nautica, Oscar de la Renta, Roberto Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo and Ungaro. Through its global distribution network, the Company’s products are sold in over 120 countries.
We’re seeking a Product Development Manager with a passion for fragrance and a strong foundation in R&D to drive end-to-end product development. This role partners cross-functionally and externally to bring new products to market on time and to the highest quality standards.
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Product Development and operates as the central project lead, connecting fragrance houses, contract manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution across multiple new product launch initiatives.
This position is based in office from Mondays-Thursdays, and remote on Fridays.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage product development timelines across multiple brands and projects, ensuring key milestones are met
- Identify risks early and proactively adjust plans to keep projects on track
- Serve as the primary point of contact between fragrance houses, contract manufacturers, and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate all stages of development, from initial formula submissions through final production
- Review and manage incoming formulas, providing feedback and driving approvals
- Oversee required testing (e.g., stability, AET, RIPT), ensuring completion and compliance with timelines
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Quality, Operations, Regulatory, and Packaging to align on project progress and deliverables
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date product development documentation, including databases and oil charts
- Conduct hands-on evaluation of fragrance oils, formulas, and production batches, including regular smelling and olfactive assessment, to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with development standards
- Contribute to broader team initiatives and support ad hoc product development needs

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Product Development or R&D, with prior experience in the beauty or CPG industries required.
- Experience working with contract manufacturing fillers, testing facilities, and fragrance houses highly preferred.
