Position Details
Seeking an experienced
Family Physician
to provide services to underserved communities. This position offers multi-generational care in an environment that promotes excellent support services including dental care, mental health, and social work support. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive outpatient and family practice medical care, including direct patient care, multidisciplinary interaction with support services, and other clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Job Duties
Serve as the Primary Care Provider (PCP) for assigned patients.
Address patients’ immediate medical needs.
Conduct medical evaluations, including history, physical exams, labs, imaging, referrals, and other diagnostic studies.
Develop problem lists and treatment plans.
Initiate treatment orders and procedures.
Educate and counsel patients on health behaviors and disease prevention.
Coordinate services with clinical staff for patients and families.
Consult with the Clinical Director as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Current license to practice medicine in California.
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
Current DEA License.
Proficiency in English; medical Spanish preferred.
Current CPR Certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and families.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records.

Local Team Collaboration:

Scheduling:
Flexible scheduling with 10-hour night shifts M-F and 11.5-hour night shifts on Saturday and Sunday.
Key Responsibilities:
Nocturnist covers the ICU overnight and supervises the residents’ admissions to the floor. Intensivists are available telephonically overnight. Central line & airways skills are desired, although back-up is available.
