Medical Biller / Payment Poster

About:
We are partnering with a specialty clinic in Northwest Houston to hire a Medical Biller / Payment Poster to join their Revenue Cycle team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid understanding of the full revenue cycle who can work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Position Details:
- Location: Fully onsite – Houston, TX (77065)
- Pay: $17–$21/hour (DOE)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Dress Code: Business casual
- Type: Contract-to-hire (520 hours)
Key Responsibilities:
Liaison Work:
- Handle claim clarifications
- Audit dispensed DME and injections
- Generate monthly provider reports
Payment Posting:
- Post settlement payments from Letters of Protection (LOPs)
- Process rheumatology infusion payments (under company Tax ID)
Administrative Support:
- Participate in shared voicemail rotation
- Respond to patient portal inquiries
- Manage emails related to billing discrepancies
Workflow & Auditing:
- Review spreadsheets and perform audits
- Ensure accurate revenue capture through detailed follow-up
Qualifications/ Must Have Experience:
- 1–3 years in a medical office setting
- Experienced with EMR systems
- Good knowledge and understanding of medical terminology
- Understanding of EOBs, payment posting, and full-cycle Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)
- High School Diploma (minimum)
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Reliable and punctual
- Calm, compassionate, and professional when handling patient concerns
