Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for driving the overall success of our pavement marking branch by overseeing daily operations, developing strong customer relationships, and leading a team of skilled road striping professionals. Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management

Responsibilities
This position is responsible for collecting delinquent loan accounts following standard policies and procedure while working under general supervision. Collector interacts with employees within Collections and other departments as well as branches to provide quality service, solve problems, and achieve goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Prioritize delinquent accounts and determine the most efficient contact method. Discuss account with customers, secure payment or set up payment arrangements as necessary.
- Coordinate with branches and loan officers to solve account problems and achieve goals.
- Review payment histories to ensure payments are correctly posted and generate PC forms to correct errors as needed.
- Perform research as necessary to locate valid phone numbers/addresses for customers.
- Identify accounts to be sent collection correspondence, generate form letters verifying accuracy of details, mail and note customer accounts.
- Process phone payments for delinquent customers using available technology.
- Handle incoming calls from the call queue and assist customers as appropriate.
- Cooperate with Collections Team to achieve department goals.
- Investigate and follow through on promised payments.
- Review and waive late charges on installment loans as needed.
Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner.
Ancillary Duties:

The Investigator Sponsored Studies Associate I is an important contributor to our team. In this role, you will provide Investigator Sponsored Study (ISS) support including entering, reviewing, verifying, and organizing incoming/outgoing documentation using web-based software.
This person identifies potential issues that could affect the quality of documentation and processes and recommends appropriate solutions.
This person will also take initiative and assume responsibility to help improve the efficiency and quality of the ISS process, reach out to customers for clarification on missing data, and ensure that the quality of services meets internal and external procedural requirements.
When appropriate, you will also give guidance to functional partners in determining solutions to ISS process issues and/or problems. You can expect to be cross trained on all ISS processes supported by Medical Device Medical Affairs.
What You'll Work On
- Processing incoming forms accurately and according to departmental processes. This includes the accurate and timely entry of forms into a database, the quality review and verification of forms already entered, the identification and correction of errors and the organization of clinical documentation (forms, correspondence and other supporting clinical documentation).
- Analyzing problems, characterize issues and determine appropriate solutions.
- Providing administrative support for ISS as requested. This could include generating mail merges, faxing, copying, filing, mailings, etc.
- Resolving and/or facilitating resolution of problems including identifying causes of problems to prevent reoccurrence of problems.
- Supporting Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

Salary range:
The compensation model varies depending upon the course delivery format. For a synchronous Classroom (In-Person) or Live Online course, a reasonable estimate for this position is $2,750 - $6,800 total per course. For an asynchronous Start Anytime Online course, this position is paid $180 - $200 per final student course grade submitted each month; a reasonable estimate ranges from $900 - $20,000 total per course; and monthly payments typically begin within 6 months after the course start date. Instructor compensation is determined by course length, number of units, enrollment, budgetary considerations, and other factors.
Percent time:
Part-time by agreement on a course-by-course basis.

Salary range:
The compensation model varies depending upon the course delivery format. For a synchronous Live Online course, a reasonable estimate for this position is $1,425 - $5,700 total per course. For an asynchronous Fixed Date Online course, this position is paid $170 - $180 per enrolled student and a reasonable estimate ranges from $1,020 - $7,200 total per course. For an asynchronous Start Anytime Online course, this position is paid $170 - $180 per final student course grade submitted each month; a reasonable estimate ranges from $2,720 - $18,000 total per course; and monthly payments typically begin within 6 months after the course start date. Instructor compensation is determined by course length, number of units, enrollment, budgetary considerations, and other factors.
Percent time:
Part-time by agreement on a course-by-course basis.
Anticipated start:
Some appointments may begin as early as the spring semester.

UC Berkeley Extension (UNEX), the continuing education branch of the University of California, Berkeley, has been building bridges between UC Berkeley and the public since 1891.
