A Day In The Life
Operator will be required to set-up, operate, and to adjust machines and equipment in order to produce a good quality product. Examples of machines and equipment are, but not limited to, flame cutter, punch press, drill press, forklift, crane, jib crane, machining center, pipe cutter, programmer, thread roller, pedestal grinder, disc grinder, stapler, boxer, CNC, band saw, saw, and other departmental equipment.
Processes performed will be, but not limited to, inspecting, measuring, identifying, flame cutting, programming, forming, bending, blasting, drilling, machining, cutting, sawing, stamping, and stacking.
Operator may be required to make visual inspections, record production, record scrap, keep required production records, and other operations as required.
Operator must have the ability to read and interpret drawings, routing sheets and have the ability to satisfactorily use calipers, gages, measuring devises, etc. and perform SPC as required.
Operator will be required to furnish own hand tools.
Operator will be required to maintain machines, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.

Ability to sit and/or stand and perform repetitive work for a minimum of eight hours.
Ability to walk, hear, see and have full use of both hands.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist level and waist level to floor.

This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable safety regulations, developing and implementing company-wide safety programs, and creating and delivering effective employee training initiatives. This role ensures training compliance, documentation accuracy, and consistent implementation of safety standards throughout ACEMCO.


Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, MIOSHA, and fire prevention requirements.
  • Serve as primary contact for regulatory agencies, coordinate and direct facility visits and inspections.
  • Prepare, maintain, and post OSHA logs (300, 300A, 301) and monitor regulatory updates, including electronic posting requirements.
  • Maintain and update the company-wide Safety Data Sheet (SDS) program for all facilities.
  • Report all workplace injuries to the workers’ compensation carrier and collaborate with supervisors on accident investigations and prevention measures.
  • Conduct incident investigations and assist in identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures, including:
  • Emergency contact listings
  • Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • Hazard Communication program
  • Safety concern reporting forms
  • Material handling and equipment safety checklists
  • Coordinate and lead safety committee meetings and monthly safety training sessions.
  • Monitor safety trends and recommend proactive improvements.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and availability of safety equipment and first aid supplies across all facilities.
  • Develop and implement a structured, company-wide training system.
  • Coordinate new hire safety orientation and ongoing safety training programs.
  • Maintain and update training records to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Track certifications and recurring training requirements.

Qualifications:

Electronics technician - Metrology

Work with instructions within established processes to complete calibration as well as electronic repair service requests impacting various instruments, equipment or machines. Requires knowledge in areas such as pressure, temperature, vibration, speed, etc.

In collaboration with other functions & trades, estimates and plans the scope of its tasks and the materials necessary to carry out calibration, adjustment, repair or replacement activities of electronic components or instruments.

Use and consult in certain cases digital control systems (Industrial Programmable Controller, Human-Machine Interface, Sensors and actuators) to do your job.

Work with tools, equipment, measuring instruments to repair or assemble electronic equipment from various materials according to established specifications and techniques.

Diagnose the problem to identify the source and recommend effective corrective methods to restore functionality and integrity.

Performs testing to validate performance based on specifications and operational requirements. If necessary, dismantle equipment to replace defective parts.

This is an on-site/full-time/direct hire position

Position Summary: The successful employee in this role is accountable for the environmental, health, and safety functions for the home building facility. This role implements and ensures compliance with environmental and safety training activities and programs intended to create a safe and healthful workplace. This position influences plant GM, PM, Area Coordinators, Team Leaders, and Team Members to improve plants' environmental and safety efforts. The employee in this role works with Home Office management with respect to environmental and safety training programs as required. This role monitors and maintains environmental, safety, and health programs for plant team members.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Environmental:

  • Maintain all record keeping and conduct activities necessary for environmental compliance (monthly material usage record keeping, storm water, air permitting, etc).
  • Walk through with environmental consultant (STRATA) personnel during scheduled visits. Complete Annual Stormwater and other required training.
  • Champion the ISO certification/surveillance efforts to include leading the EHS Committee and participating in the Objectives and Targets Team Meetings
  • Lead the ISO Coordinator and, when not available, conduct their duties (see Environmental/ISO Coordinator job description_

Health

  • Champion the team's health efforts by working with wellness coordinators to promote good eating habits, physical fitness, and mental health.
  • Set a great example for the team by continuing to improve one's personal wellness

Safety / Workers' Compensation

  • Conduct and complete the Injury and Illness report with the injured team member, Area Coordinator, and Team Leader or Manager after completing a thorough accident investigation.
  • Ensure post-accident drug screens are completed as required.
  • Call in, fax, or e-mail First Report of Injury to Broadspire within 24 hours of the accident, or sooner.
  • Act as workers' compensation liaison and participate in quarterly reviews of loss runs. Complete and maintain OSHA 300 Log record keeping.
  • Administer the company's Return-to-Work program, including the transitional employment teams.
  • Report to Home Office EHS Director monthly reporting numbers: (OSHA entries for the previous month, Lost Time Accident, and OSHA streaks in number of days).
  • Administer the workers' compensation program, which includes working with the company's insurance carrier to reduce lost time and fraudulent claims, case management, and communications with team members.
  • Maintain active involvement in teams' safety committee functions by coordinating monthly meetings and inspections, ensuring the recording of minutes, and coordinating changes based on committee feedback and inspection results.
  • Walk through with property carrier loss control personnel during scheduled visits. Provide a written plan of action within 30 days to the property carrier representative and the Home Office EHS Director.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies or related field.
  • 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking is preferred, but not required.

POSITION PURPOSE 

  • The licensed Registered Nurse (RN) plans & provides professional nursing services & standards of practice in accordance with level of experience & education, state board of nursing & established policies & procedures. The RN integrates the art, science, leadership & knowledge of the nursing clinical practice through relationship-centered, compassionate, ethical & respectful direct / indirect healthcare services. 
  • RN III – senior: Practice is guided by nursing process & policy / procedure / standards. Maintains focused area of expertise for care / program & / or provides interventions or knowledge within niche areas of care / program; Advances professional / shared governance, collaborates inter & intra-professionally, delegates to others to advance care, assumes an expanded role & increased responsibility; Able to lead a small team; Serve as a unit / service / program nursing practice mentor & identify learning need of others.

  • Other duties as needed and assigned by the manager.

General Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. 
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. 
  • Current Iowa RN license or active compact license recognized by the state is required. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within three (3) months of hire. 
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is
