Experience with AI and machine learning platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure or GCP).

Proficiency in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) or container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).

Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Github Actions).

Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, R, SQL).

Deep understanding of coding, architecture, and deployment processes.

Strong understanding of critical performance metrics.

Extensive experience in predictive modeling, LLMs, and NLP.

Understanding of healthcare regulations and standards, and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Experience in managing end-to-end ML lifecycle and automation with Terraform is a must.

About the Position

The Illinois Environmental Council Education Fund (IECEF) is looking for a self-motivated and experienced individual for the role of Director of Policy, Energy. This role will join the energy programs team as an expert in power sector advocacy, supporting our work in coalition building, stakeholder education, and advocacy. This full-time position is responsible for supporting the organization's energy policy agenda with an emphasis on the power sector and the deployment of renewable energy across Illinois. This role will be supervised by the Chief of Staff.


This position can be located in Springfield or Chicago, IL. The position is full-time and may include evening and weekend work, and occasional travel within Illinois.

Responsibilities

Director of Policy, Energy, will be responsible for the following.  


  • Education
  • Draft content for educational materials for key stakeholders.
  • Communicate environmental priorities through public speaking and other outreach.
  • Organize and conduct events and tours with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
  • Coalition Building
  • Administer and lead coalitions, as assigned, including setting agendas, meeting times and location, group messaging, goals, strategies, and tactics.
  • Consult our affiliates to build on their expertise in certain fields.
  • Coordinate with partner organizations to develop and implement effective strategies and tactics.
  • Policy and Advocacy
  • Under the guidance of the IEC legislative team, build relationships with and join meetings with legislators and decision-makers.
  • Under the guidance of the IEC legislative team, testify in the state legislature on clean energy topics.
  • Build relationships with identified stakeholders through IEC power analysis to ensure environmental champions in targeted regions.
  • Develop legislative priorities with coalition partners and support the drafting of bills for our clean energy priorities.
  • Track policy trends and proposed local renewable energy projects and their respective decision timelines (in coordination and with support from external partners).
  • Support tracking implementation of the Clean and Reliable Grid Affordability Act.
  • Develop policy expertise in issue areas as assigned, including an understanding of current legislation and comparative laws in other locations, with a focus on the power sector (e.g., grid infrastructure, energy markets, large energy users such as data centers),  building decarbonization, and the clean energy economy.
  • Organizational Leadership
  • Contribute to fundraising efforts, including grant applications & foundation reporting related to IEC’s advocacy work.
  • Connect and engage with IEC affiliate members as assigned.

About Our Pay and Benefits

The Director position is a full-time permanent position located in Springfield or Chicago, IL. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, and vacation. Position Title: Operations Assistant (Scheduling & Production Coordination)

Position Overview:

Nulixir is looking for an exceptional Operations Assistant who will be the brain behind our day-to-day operations—owning employee schedules and production schedules to keep our facility running with precision.

In this role, you’ll be the “air traffic controller” of our operations: matching people to production lines, aligning shifts to demand, and ensuring that every run is properly staffed, sequenced, and communicated. You will work closely with Operations Leadership, Production, and HR to turn our aggressive growth plans into a smooth, predictable daily reality on the floor.

Position Location:

This position will be based at our HQ facilities located in the Austin, TX Metropolitan Area.

In this critically important role, you will be responsible for:

  1. Workforce & Shift Scheduling
  • Own and maintain the master schedule for hourly operations employees (bottling, blending, warehousing, etc.).
  • Build, publish, and update weekly and monthly shift schedules to ensure proper coverage across all production lines and shifts.
  • Proactively identify coverage gaps (PTO, call-outs, new production needs) and work with supervisors to backfill and rebalance staffing.

  • Act as the central point of coordination for “who is doing what, where, and when” across operations.
  • Support daily stand-up meetings by preparing schedule views, line-up charts, and highlighting key risks or constraints.
  • Quickly communicate schedule changes (rush orders, downtime, absenteeism) to all relevant stakeholders and update systems accordingly.
  • Partner with HR and Operations to coordinate onboarding, cross-training, and re-assignments as production needs evolve.
