LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well‑established, multi‑entity private family office in Miami Beach to identify an accomplished Assistant CFO / Financial Controller. This is a high‑visibility leadership role positioned directly beneath the CFO, with a defined path to step into the CFO role within approximately one year as part of succession planning.
This opportunity is ideal for a strong Senior Accounting Manager or Controller who has corporate accounting depth, multi‑entity oversight experience, and wants to grow into executive leadership.
About the Role
This individual will sit above the Controller and play a critical part in ensuring structure, accuracy, and excellence across a diverse portfolio of entities. The environment is entrepreneurial, fast‑moving, and hands-on — perfect for someone who thrives in high‑accountability, owner-facing settings.
You’ll be heavily involved in accounting operations across:
• 50+ entities
• A portfolio of ~10 real estate properties (primary focus)
• Hospitality, restaurants, entertainment, royalties, and investment entities
Key Responsibilities
• Lead full-cycle corporate accounting across multiple entities
• Oversee month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and depreciation
• Review, organize, and strengthen financials across the portfolio
• Supervise the Controller and support broader accounting staff
• Provide high-level reporting and insights to ownership
• Ensure clean, accurate, timely financials in a high-discretion environment
Required Experience
• Real estate accounting experience (non-negotiable)
• Fully bilingual in English & Spanish
• Strong multi-entity accounting and financial reporting
• Background in accrual accounting and depreciation
• Experience working directly with ownership or senior executives
• Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on
• QuickBooks + Excel proficiency
Nice to Have
• Hospitality or restaurant accounting exposure
• Royalty / entertainment accounting exposure
• Family office experience
• Experience in entrepreneurial, owner-led environments
