Tangram Flex is seeking a Software Technical Leader with 8+ years of experience to contribute to the design, development, and delivery of Tangram’s transformative and impactful technology to implement mission-critical software solutions. POSITION DESCRIPTION/

The Software Tech Lead provides strategic and tactical technical leadership for software product design and hardware-software integration programs. You will be responsible for defining the technical vision of a program, ensuring it aligns with customer goals, and to manage and contribute to the day-to-day engineering execution to deliver performant, secure software solutions for Tangram’s customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/

Program Strategy & Kickoff:

• Technical Architecture and Strategy: Collaborate with our customers and Engineering Leadership to identify technical strategies, customer and team goals, and define deliverables to meet or exceed expectations.
• Program Kickoff and Internal Alignment: Collaborate with Program Managers (PMs) and Engineering Leadership to develop and present technical approach slides for Internal Kickoffs, communicating milestones, technical tasks, and skillsets needed to internal stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Resource Allocation: Identify necessary skillsets and time investments required to achieve program goals, working with the Director of Engineering to ensure proper team staffing.

Technical Leadership & Execution:

• Engineering Oversight: Manage a team of software developers as well as directly contribute to design, write, and test code in relevant languages (ex. C, C++, Java, Python) while maintaining high standards for code reviews and merge requests.
• Testing and Verification Leadership: Oversee the team's testing and verification strategy, including defining and enforcing quality gates, ensuring comprehensive unit, integration, and system testing, and validating that all delivered software meets the highest standards for performance, security, and customer-defined requirements.
• Technical Project Tracking: Lead the breakdown of technical work into manageable Epics, Milestones, and Issues, ensuring progress is delivered successfully.
• Mentorship: Innovate and mentor a team of engineers, leading them on top of tech trends (e.g., DevSecOps for embedded) and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Customer Engagement & Growth:

• Technical Partner: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) point of contact for customers in articulating technical requirements, outlining technical expectations, and leading high-stakes customer demonstrations.
• Tangram Solutions Alignment: Identify opportunities to utilize Tangram products in conjunction with new and existing technology to create solutions for our customers
• Business Expansion: Provide technical feasibility inputs to the Growth team and Portfolio Managers to shape follow-on opportunities, develop technical proposals, and contribute to the "Future Phase" strategy for customer relationships.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Required Skills:

• Education: BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: 8-10+ years in software product development with a strong focus on embedded systems and software integration.
• Leadership: Proven experience in a technical leadership role (e.g., Tech Lead, Chief Engineer, or Principal Investigator) managing full-lifecycle delivery to programs.

What You Will Do

Leverage experience to work directly with a wide range of Las Vegas-area nonprofits to help clarify and implement organizational strategies. As an example, you may work closely with a nonprofit founder to assess the core capacities of the organization, identify 2-3 key growth opportunities, develop an actionable plan to address the opportunities, then provide ongoing implementation support for 12 months. Qualifications and Competencies

• Minimum eight (8) years experience providing consulting or technical assistance to nonprofits, foundations, or public agencies/governments, or leading change management or strategy functions inside such organizations.
• MBA, MPP, MPA or other relevant post-graduate degree is preferred. Relevant experience and proven success will be considered in lieu of formal education.  
• Deep understanding of nonprofit organizations and the nonprofit sector, including demonstrated expertise in at least one (1) of the following functional skills: strategic planning, governance, data analysis, finance, fundraising, operations, program design and delivery. 
• Strong coaching and convening skills.  
• Comfortable and confident in presenting to groups, and able to make complex topics feel accessible.
• Demonstrated success in creating and implementing strategies/solutions that drove impact and organizational transformation or sustainability. 
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage budgets, timelines and deliverables.

• Compensation: The salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000 annually, plus a discretionary, performance-based annual bonus up to 5% of salary.

• Partner with engineers to shape solution approaches, balancing build/buy/partner considerations.
• Contribute to solution architecture discussions, ensuring designs are scalable, secure, and compliant with standards.
• Collaborate closely with delivery teams to validate functionality against requirements, proactively evaluate feature effectiveness and accuracy, and resolve scope or design ambiguities to ensure product quality and alignment with user needs.
• Support testing, pilot deployment, and adoption efforts, incorporating user feedback into iterative improvements.
• Document and communicate lessons learned, value metrics, and impact stories to demonstrate business outcomes.

Value & Impact Measurement:

• Define success metrics and measurable outcomes for each AI initiative in partnership with business stakeholders.
• Work closely with the Data Analytics team to design and maintain value tracking reports and dashboards.
• Monitor adoption, efficiency gains, and ROI, and proactively identify areas for improvement.
• Present value realization updates to leadership, ensuring clear visibility into the business impact of AI solutions.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in technical product management with a minimum of 2 years in AI-related products.
• Bachelor’s and Master’s in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or associated quantitative fields.
• Have proven experience and knowledge of corporate functions (Finance, HR, Legal, Marketing, etc.)
• Exceptional facilitation and communication skills—comfortable running discovery sessions, white-boarding with PMs, and demoing prototypes to senior leaders.
• Demonstrated product-management mindset: roadmap ownership, KPI definition, and budget/risk trade-off communication.
• Hands-on experience leading change initiatives and measuring adoption by teams.

• Deep understanding of AI applications, tools, and methodologies
• Proven ability to apply AI/ML techniques (e.g., NLP, document intelligence, predictive modeling, generative AI) to solve business problems in corporate functions.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML tools and platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Azure AI, AWS SageMaker, AWS Bedrock or similar).
• Familiarity with the latest trends in AI (e.g., agentic AI, multimodal models, RAG) and ability to evaluate their relevance for client use cases.
