What you'll do...

We are looking for a Machine Vision / Controls Engineer to join our fast-paced automation engineering firm. This role focuses on developing machine vision inspection systems while also supporting controls development and feasibility testing for custom automation equipment.
You will perform vision feasibility studies, camera/lens/lighting selection, and vision programming, primarily using Keyence Machine Vision systems. In addition, you will support PLC programming, system integration, and automation debugging on our custom machines.
This position works closely with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers to integrate machine vision, robotics, motion control, and PLC systems into complete automation solutions.

Duties:
- Perform machine vision feasibility testing in our lab to validate inspection concepts and system performance
- Size and select cameras, lenses, and lighting for vision inspection applications

- Program and support PLC controls systems (primarily Allen Bradley ladder logic)

Job Description
The Production Technician will assist in the assembly and testing of Greensea IQ products, components, and systems. This position is a critical member of the multidisciplinary production team at Greensea IQ. This position will work primarily on the production floor, executing the assembly and testing of production-related tasks in accordance with Greensea IQ standards and procedures. The successful candidate will strive to on-time and defect-free assemblies and offer nothing short of 100% effort in doing so. The right person for this position has the ability to navigate shifting priorities at the direction of their manager as programmatic needs may require. Responsibilities
- Participate as a multidisciplinary production team member.
- Build subsea and surface roboticsystems and associated assemblies.

Requirements

Position Overview
We are seeking Maintenance Technicians with hands-on experience supporting automated manufacturing, robotics, or warehouse automation environments. This role is critical to maintaining continuous system operation and minimizing downtime across highly automated equipment and production systems.
The ideal candidate is comfortable troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems, working with PLC-controlled equipment, and performing both reactive and preventive maintenance in a fast-paced, high-automation setting.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain continuous operation of automated, robotic, and material handling systems by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying components
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and return equipment to service quickly and safely
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic systems and process support equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and complex automated system drawings
- Work with PLC-controlled equipment and assist in automation system diagnostics
- Identify machine malfunctions, isolate root causes, and implement cost-effective repairs
- Perform equipment calibrations, re-qualifications, and system validations per schedule
- Assist engineers and automation teams with equipment installation, removal, and system qualification
