This is a senior-level Solutions Architect role with a clear career progression path (Solutions Architect to Senior Architect to Enterprise Architect to Principal Architect). You will:
Customer Engagement & PostβSales Architecture
Lead technical discovery sessions with customers to gather thermal, environmental, mechanical, and operational requirements

What youβll achieve
As a Senior Principal Thermal Engineer , you will collaborate with our global thermal, electrical and mechanical engineering community to develop Rack-Level Data Center solutions for Dellβs enterprise customers and partners.
You will
Design rack-level heat exchange and coolant distribution systems
Develop coolant distribution solutions within the loop for parallel flow solutions and support cooling network sizing
Create and evaluate concepts for new, innovative air and liquid cooling solutions and assess feasibility
Collaborate with mechanical engineering teams to drive design tradeβoffs in rackβlevel air and liquid cooling solutions
Ensure designs are manufacturable, costβeffective and highly reliable

Essential Requirements
12+ years in a thermal engineering role to include experience with server rack cooling systems within Data Centers or equivalent skill
Expertise in internal fluid dynamics and heat transfer
Experience with electronics cooling, cooling distribution units (CDUs) and thermal systems controls
Skilled at analyzing options and selecting critical design elements for product development
Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate with and influence global teams
Desirable Requirements
BS, MS or PhD in mechanical engineering or related field
Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position is $174,250-$225,500.
