The Systems Architect, Device and Edge Software is responsible for defining and guiding the architecture of device-level, embedded, and edge software solutions that support connected and intelligent industrial products. QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field required; Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in embedded systems, firmware, device software, edge computing, or IoT-connected mobile application ecosystems, with demonstrated experience in architectural design or technical leadership roles.
• Experience delivering software for industrial, connected, or safety-critical products preferred.

Knowledge / Skill Requirements:

Flight Software links together the mechanical, avionics, algorithmic, and embedded worlds to actually make the airplane fly. As a Flight Software Test V&V Engineer, you will develop the test cases to support the test verification processes ensuring that the aviation products we develop are safe to fly and help provide a high-fidelity training environment for our flight-test crews.

Responsibilities

As a Flight Software Test V&V Engineer on the Simulation and Test Systems team, you will be instrumental in testing and deploying autonomous aircraft software. The Simulation and Test Systems team architects, builds, and maintains the hardware and software infrastructure necessary to verify aircraft performance prior to flight testing. Your responsibilities include verifying flight software functionality across diverse integrated test environments, such as software-in-the-loop (SIL), hardware-in-the-loop (HITL), and on-aircraft testing. You will also author and execute test procedures for on-ground aircraft testing.

A key part of this role involves designing, building, and maintaining automated test scripts within our test ecosystem. These scripts will support functional testing and requirements-driven software tests necessary for FAA certification.

The Simulation and Test Systems team is responsible for building the infrastructure necessary to enable the development, test, and deployment of our autonomous aircraft software. You will work closely with the hardware-in-the-loop test environments, high-fidelity physics simulation stack, and cloud-based Monte-Carlo infrastructure to enable the millions of flight equivalent hours necessary to certify our aviation products. These systems provide fast and accurate feedback on the behavior of our system through a wide variety of flight plans, environmental conditions, and system faults.
