A long‑standing nonprofit organization in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a detail‑driven Agency Development Manager to support agency‑wide fundraising, grant activity, and institutional funding efforts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fast‑paced, project‑based work and wants to contribute to programs that make a significant community impact.
About the Role
This position plays a key part in advancing the organization’s development initiatives. The Agency Development Manager will coordinate grant applications, manage institutional funding workflows, and collaborate closely with leadership to ensure high‑quality, competitive submissions. The role is 100% onsite in Downtown Los Angeles and offers free employee parking.
This is a direct‑hire opportunity with a target start date as soon as a qualified candidate is selected.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, prepare, and submit grant proposals, funding applications, and related materials for foundation, corporate, and government opportunities.
- Partner with internal program leaders to gather narrative content, budget details, and impact data.
- Track funding opportunities, submission timelines, and reporting schedules.
- Assist with RFPs, EFSP requests, contract renewals, and institutional funding strategies.
- Conduct background research to strengthen proposals and ensure eligibility.
- Attend occasional bidder conferences to gather program and funding insights.
- Maintain organized records of submissions, deadlines, and documentation requirements.
- Support the development team in producing clear, accurate, and compelling written materials.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required (education verification will be conducted).
- Grant writing experience with demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Raiser’s Edge / Raiser’s Edge NXT proficiency is mandatory.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work fully onsite Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
- Must pass background screening, including court and education checks.
- Nonprofit or mission‑based environment experience is highly beneficial.
- Open to candidates who are earlier in their development career as long as they meet degree and software requirements.

Compensation
- Up to $32/hour (based on experience)
- Full‑time, direct‑hire position
