Position Title: Quality Manager (Supplement Manufacturing Industry)

Position Overview:

In this role, we are looking for a detail-oriented Quality leader who is highly skilled in food safety, food quality, and good manufacturing practices.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage initiatives that ensure product safety, uniformity, and quality across all dietary supplement and nutrition manufacturing operations.
• Direct Quality Assurance and Regulatory functions, including team oversight and process management.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance quality systems to meet applicable industry regulations and standards (e.g., cGMP, GDP, 21 CFR Part 111, HACCP, FSMA, SQF, NSF, GFCO, TGA).
• Coordinate and oversee internal, external, and customer audits, ensuring readiness and successful outcomes.
• Identify and escalate quality or food safety concerns, recommending practical and effective corrective actions.
• Deliver training programs for staff across departments to support compliance and continuous improvement.
• Manage supplier qualification programs for raw materials, ensuring adherence to established standards.
• Supervise raw material sampling, labeling controls, and retention protocols.
• Review and approve key documentation, including batch records, specifications, and change controls, as well as authorize final product release.
• Ensure timely resolution of deviations, complaints, investigations, and CAPA activities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, NSF, TGA, Health Canada, etc.) and ensure organizational compliance.
• Support enforcement of cGMP standards, food safety systems, and workplace hygiene policies.
• Oversee adherence to SOP-driven quality systems and operational procedures.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address employee-related matters as needed.
• Provide cross-functional support to manufacturing and quality teams to drive product excellence.
• Promote cost efficiencies while maintaining high-quality production standards.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including PPE and GMP growing requirements.
• Participate in cross-training initiatives across various manufacturing functions.
• Collaborate with production teams, offering technical guidance across processes such as blending, encapsulation, packaging, and labeling.
• Ensure readiness of materials and equipment throughout all stages of production.

Qualifications & Experience

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Sentinel Underwriting Review is seeking an experienced field inspector to perform exterior insurance underwriting inspections in the following coverage areas:

• Grand Traverse, Benzie, Leelanau Counties (Traverse City / Northwest Michigan)
• Alpena, Presque Isle, Montmorency, Oscoda, & Alcona Counties (Northeast Lower Michigan)
• Escanaba, Delta, Menominee Counties (South-Central Upper Peninsula)
• Houghton, Hancock, Baraga Counties (Western Upper Peninsula / Keweenaw Region)

$25–$30 per inspection | Flexible | Ongoing Volume

This opportunity is ideal for someone already performing field inspections or related work who is looking to add supplemental volume and additional income to their existing route.

• Pay: Typically $25–$30 per completed inspection

• Inspection Type: ~90% exterior-only (drive-by underwriting inspections)

• Interior Inspections: ~10% (scheduled with homeowner)

• Time on Site: Typically 5–10 minutes for exterior inspections

• Scheduling: Flexible – route yourself

• Volume: Ongoing assignments available in the region

• Turnaround: Standard 21–30 days (rush assignments occasionally available)

High-performing inspectors receive priority assignment volume.

These are insurance underwriting condition inspections, not full home inspections.

Responsibilities include:

• Capturing required exterior photos (front, rear, angles, roofline, outbuildings, hazards)

• Identifying visible underwriting concerns (roof condition, debris, liability hazards, etc.)

• Completing a short digital inspection report

• Occasionally preparing a simple property sketch

• Scheduling homeowners for the limited interior inspections

All reports and photos are submitted through Sentinel’s online reporting platform.

Job Summary

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited university-based Speech/Language Pathology program and be awarded a Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology.

Licenses/Certifications: Current license to practice Speech/Language Pathology by the State Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology for Texas; current certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, required. Current certification in Basic Life Support.

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

• One (1) year of experience preferred.

• Demonstrated ability and willingness to mentor/train staff or supervise clinical interns.

• Actively participates in organized community service/functions as a representative of the profession.

• Presents relevant special topics in professional literature at clinic meetings, grand rounds, conferences, university settings and meetings as delegated or requested by the faculty.
