Join one other Neonatologist and a crew of NNPs. PRN Neonatologists are available when needed. 24/7 Ob/Gyn Laborist program in place; one Maternal Fetal Medicine physician on staff; and one Pediatric Hospitalist on during the day.
The average census is 10. Average births per year are 2,000, and continued growth is expected. Level III NICU with 12 private beds. The unit is pro-breast feeding, baby friendly.
The schedule for this full-time opportunity is currently 7 on/ 7 off, 24-hour shifts. The physician is generally available on site during normal daytime hours, and available from home the remainder of the shift.
Familiarity with oscillator, nitric oxide, intubation, chest tube placements, lumbar puncture, ventilation management, invasive (ETT), non-invasive (BiPap/CPAP), exchange transfusions, paracentesis, and thoracentesis is preferred.
Opportunities for teaching exist with FM residents and other staff.
