Annual Salary: $75,678 - $92,019* (24-Hour Shift Schedule)

ABOUT THE POSITION
Under supervision, responds to fire alarms, emergency medical calls, and other emergency calls to protect life and property; participates in fire training, fire prevention, public education, and station and equipment maintenance activities; operates a paramedic unit in response to medical emergencies and provides definitive medical care; and performs related duties as required.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Receives supervision from an assigned Fire Captain. Receives direction through San Diego County EMS protocols and from the Battalion Chief, EMS Educator and Medical Director.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist is under the direct supervision of the Chief Physicist, the Physicist ensures the quality of care in the use of radiation producing sources and imaging equipment. The physicist also assists in matters of protection of patients and staff from radiation in the Department of Radiation Oncology. Responsible for overall functioning of radiation therapy equipment, radiation safety considerations and operational aspects of the WellStar Radiation Oncology facilities. Calibrates all radiation therapy equipment, conducts routine quality control procedures on all radiation treatment devices. Helps in planning of radiation treatments. Job Summary:
The RN Resident is expected to successfully complete the 12-month Nurse Residency Program (NRP). The Wellstar program is designed to facilitate and provide support for a successful transition into professional practice for the new graduate RN with less than 6 months of experience as a Professional Registered Nurse.
RN Residents will participate in programs designed by 1) specialty/service line and 2) NRP sessions to support their development. The RN Resident will be supported by the Unit-Based Leaders, Educators, NRP RN educators, Site Coordinators, and Unit-Based Preceptors trained to support professional role transition, strengthen nursing practice comprehension, critical thinking, and clinical skills in preparation for providing excellent patient care on the unit. The Nurse Resident's orientation is comprised of the following sequential phases: System Orientation,
Core Nursing Onboarding Sessions, Specialty Onboarding Sessions, and monthly NRP sessions.
The RN Resident, under the direct supervision of the Unit Manager and in collaboration with the Professional Nurse Educator, Assistant Nurse Manager, and his/her Preceptor, is responsible for the provision of nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with current Wellstar Standards of Care.
The RN Resident is a proactive member of an interprofessional team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients receive individualized, high quality, safe patient care. Families and significant others are viewed as engaged care team partners supporting the patient across the continuum of care. Except as otherwise required by state law, CarMax Associates are entitled to the following paid sick, vacation, and holiday time.
Associates that are considered full-time hourly or commission/incentive eligible:
- To earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year accrued on a per pay period basis and between 80 hours and 200 hours per year of vacation time after a 90 day waiting period depending on years of continuous service with the Company.
- For 8 hours of pay for each of a total of 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday. If such an Associate does work on a scheduled holiday due to business need, they are eligible for Holiday Premium Pay.
Associates considered full-time salaried are entitled to paid time away with no specified limit as needed for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holiday, etc. subject to manager approval.
