Position Description: Project Supervisors are responsible for one or more of the following areas on a specific project/program: Functional Performance, Project Reporting, and/or Personnel Performance. Project Supervisors demonstrate technical expertise and leadership and should be familiar with the commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in electrical and/or civil engineering environments, preferably in the utility industry, and be able to rely on their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Supervisors are expected to be able to recommend new and/or improvements to documentation and implement approved changes. While their focus is on the assigned project functions, the failure of their team/area to achieve objectives will impact overall project/program deadlines and results.
The Design Supervisor:
- Provides first-level leadership: Supervises and leads a team or functional activities daily
- Concurrently perform the work of those they supervise
- Provides support to key duties of the Project Manager / Project Engineer
- Assists in the process to review function/project procedures, specifications, and standards
- Works with Project Engineer to set priorities for a team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities for team members.

Requirements:
Education/Experience Requirements:

- Manage the Plant / Site CI Managers network of the region or division: annual professional competences appraisal, contribution & validation to recruitment, definition of training plan, validation of lean skill development and manage detection/growing of local production system potentials. Organize network meeting and On Job Training.
- Organize the cross fertilization of good practices within the region or division.
- Ensure that lean rules are taken into account in new projects at right time.
- Validate the Sites lean deployment plan vs Group directives & instructions, and Sites Priorities, including Smart factory/Industrial 4.0, and support their deployment.
- Help the Plant / Site Managers identify opportunities for SQDICP progress.
- Deploy and follow Group initiatives within his/her region or division.
- Check through a regular presence on every Site of his region or division that Sites are working on appropriate priorities.
- Coach Plant / Site Managers: Plant, Production, APU, CI, Production & Supply Chain support functions on lean processes implementation.
- Check regularly Gemba in depth the proper deployment of lean roadmaps and ensure a close follow up of progress plans.
- Challenge the plants’ budget & related financial indicators of sites in budget preparation phase.
- Validate, challenge & follow Direct Labor and equipment operational performance improvement actions.
- Ensure a lean reporting.
- Contribute to the improvement of Group Lean standards & tools.
- Support industrial 4.0 / smart factory implementation.
- As Aalberts Production System roadmap developer.
- Participate to Group Kaizen workshops, Committees & townhall.

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
- Lean Manufacture in car automotive for > 8 years.
- Strong background experience in purchasing, program management, manufacturing and /or supply chain management.
- American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Lean, Six Sigma (DMAIC), and digital transformation initiatives
- Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks (quality escapes, long prep times, inefficient assembly, rework, etc.)
- Document and systematize informal practices into Standard Work, SOPs, and implement visual management systems
- Develop KPIs and analyze shop floor data (scrap, downtime, OTD, cycle time) to drive root cause and corrective actions
- Implement digital tools (Power BI, Excel, Power Automate, ERP integrations) to support a paperless, data-driven factory
- Facilitate Kaizen events, Gemba walks, and cross-functional problem-solving sessions
- Train and coach operators, leads, and supervisors in practical Lean tools
- Measure and report cost savings, hours reduced, and risk mitigation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on manufacturing engineering or continuous improvement experience
- Strong knowledge of Lean (5S, VSM, SMED, Poka-Yoke, Visual Management) and Six Sigma (DMAIC)
- Proven record of measurable operational improvements
- Experience developing Standard Work and operator-level training
- Familiarity with shop floor digital tools and ERP systems
