Midwest Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Manufacturing Team Leader based in Reed City, MI.


The Manufacturing Team Leader will provide manufacturing leadership to deliver a world-class operation at the Reed City, MI, Yoplait facility. The Manufacturing Team Leader will lead, mentor, and develop employees to achieve outstanding manufacturing results while leveraging continuous improvement tools and working cross-departmentally to troubleshoot and mitigate production inefficiencies.


The Manufacturing Team Leader must have flexibility with their working hours and will be primarily working 8-hour shifts on 2nd shift. Weekends are worked on a rotational schedule with the other Manufacturing Team Leaders and are typically 12-hour shifts (5:00 PM - 5:00 AM Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday). The Manufacturing Team Leader must be able to flex their hours to 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift to support plant scheduling needs, complete project work. Proper notice will be given before moving shifts


From your EXPERTISE to our

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Educate, develop, and motivate a manufacturing work group to achieve required production results, improving individual technical skills, and enabling collaboration across boundaries
  • Facilitate, coach, counsel, and guide the manufacturing work group to ensure that they are able to deliver results year-over-year through the use of continuous improvement tools and strategies
  • Flex hours across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts (if required) to support plant scheduling needs, to complete project work
  • Develop and lead projects that will save on costs, reduce waste, improve safety, or improve production/sanitation key performance metrics throughout the plant
  • Schedule operators and maintenance resources according to plant production needs
  • Ensure that production facilities and finished products meet the company and government standards for quality, sanitation, and safety
  • Be an incident commander in the event a pressing safety, maintenance, quality, or production incident occurs. Contact the necessary resources to help manage the incident
  • Working closely with line teams and supporting department personnel to drive production results, drive out losses, and support R&D or improvement initiatives happening on the off-shifts across all platforms

Requirements

  • 2+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
  • Ability to adjust schedule across 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts (if required) to support plant scheduling needs or to complete project work
  • Experience in troubleshooting technical problems and responding to technical challenges
  • Demonstratable interpersonal communication and listening skills
  • Demonstratable analytical and business judgment skills
  • Must possess basic computer skills or the ability to learn a variety of computer programs
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or of another technical/scientific discipline
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, SAP, Blue Yonder, Maximo, or other programs/applications typical of a manufacturing environment
  • Previous food manufacturing leadership experience

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Leads, the Maintenance Technician 2 is responsible for all phases of maintenance including PM/PDM, PLC, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, Control systems and mechanical repair of all key process equipment .This will be achieved by maintaining HellermannTyton's Audited certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.



Essential Functions:





  • Investigate, diagnose and perform corrective actions on all key process equipment.

  • Troubleshoot problems working from schematics, ladder diagrams, and drawings .

  • Enter machine/ equipment repair requests into CMMS software database.

  • Perform preventive/predictive maintenance inspections and complete repairs that may arise from those inspections.

  • Assist with Industrial engineering projects.

  • Installs and upgrades of key process equipment and systems

  • Report to the maintenance leads or maintenance supervisor upon detection any machine/equipment/building discrepancies that can/will have detrimental effects.

  • Practice lock-out tag-out procedures.



Other Functions





  • Communicate work that took place between shift to following shift.

  • Attend and successfully complete forklift certification.

  • Attend required training/ seminars.

  • Complete purchase orders according to procedure and submit for approval.

  • Required Personal Protective Equipment * safety shoes are to be worn at all time during your scheduled work hours. * Department manager/supervisor will cover additional PPE as required on department specific work instructions.

  • All employees entering the manufacturing area and other identified locations must wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Wearing your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a condition of employment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Success in this role will require





  • Ability to complete PLC, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics and mechanical repairs.

  • Ability to read schematics, ladder diagrams, and drawings .

  • Knowledge in the use of test equipment.

  • Knowledge in industrial preventive/predictive maintenance practices.

  • Knowledge in using a CMMS

  • Knowledge in Quality and EMS certifications work instructions and procedures.

  • Knowledge of the corrective action process.



What You'll Bring





  • Trained and Proficient in all MT 1 Requirements

  • Has been in HellermannTyton's Maintenance department for 5+ years, or at least 6 years of relevant work experience, Comparable Military service training, or completion of a skilled trade diploma, certificate, apprenticeship, or associate degree. Or per Manager and Supervisor's agreed recommendation.

  • Ability to Investigate, diagnose and perform corrective actions, Projects, and PM/PDM's on all key process equipment and systems on their own or as part of a team.

  • Able to complete upgrades, designing modifications/prototypes, and new installations of key process equipment.

  • Assist IE's, Quality, Manufacturing, Tooling/Tool room and Automation on projects, new tooling, or corrective actions.

  • Assist with keeping CMMS Instructions and Equipment updated.

  • Assist with training of MT level Technicians

  • Efficient verbal and written communication skills within the department

  • Must have valid drivers license, adequate insurance and acceptable driving record.

In this role, you'll ensure the quality and accuracy of our food products by moving them from the filler line to the prep area for distribution. Job Description

Robert Bosch Fuel Systems, LLC in Kentwood, MI-part of the global Bosch Power Solutions division-is a leader in diesel injection technology. As an Industrial Electrician at this precision metal machining and assembly plant, you’ll perform both routine and emergency electrical repairs, troubleshoot and maintain high- and low-voltage systems, and support equipment installation. This hands-on role requires expertise in industrial electronics, strong problem-solving skills, and collaboration with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to keep operations running smoothly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses, adjusts, repairs, constructs, assembles, calibrates, installs and maintains all types of electrical and electronic high or low voltage circuitry systems and equipment.
  • Services, tests, and replaces devices used in electronic circuits.
  • Plan and perform job layout. Work from blueprints, circuit diagrams and sketches. Uses hand tools and various electrical testing and precision measuring instruments.
  • Has working knowledge of Industrial Electronics and National Electrical Codes.
  • Adapts to new methods, processes, material and equipment.
  • Routinely contacts suppliers or manufacturers on part information, repair issues, improvement needs and shipping instructions.
  • Assists other maintenance team members in meeting requirements.
  • Serves as a resource to production, engineering and other plant personnel.
  • Maintains and improves knowledge and skill requirements in all maintenance required trade areas. Maintains user knowledge of tools, testing, equipment, measuring instruments, conveyance and material handling equipment.
  • Update data bases and retrieve information from computer systems.
  • Operates company vehicles, conveyance and material handling equipment.
  • Completes appropriate paperwork, machine documentation and preventative maintenance records. Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment.
  • Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and guidance.


Qualifications

Basic:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6+ years experience working as Electrician in an industrial capacity
  • Must have or be able to obtain a UAW Journey Card.


Preferred:

  • Completion of a 4 year apprentice program certified by the US Dept of Labor.
  • Master Electrician

Hourly Compensation:The U.S. base hourly wage for this full-time position is $39.06/hrwith an additional shift premium based on the assigned shift.
