About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Executive to lead our Quality Compliance and Quality Control functions within a dynamic lab environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all products meet regulatory standards, customer expectations, and internal quality benchmarks. The ideal candidate will champion a Quality by Design approach, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

How will you contribute:

Quality Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements (FDA, GMP, ISO, etc.) for nutraceutical manufacturing.
• Maintain and update quality systems, SOPs, and documentation to meet compliance standards.
• Oversee audits (internal, external, and customer) and manage corrective/preventive actions.

Quality Control:

• Lead and manage QC operations, including raw material, in-process, and finished product testing.
• Ensure robust analytical and microbiological testing processes are in place and validated.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to resolve quality issues promptly.

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement a Quality by Design framework across all processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
• Build and mentor a high-performing quality team.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in quality assurance, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in Quality roles within nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing industries.
• Previous experience in dietary supplements manufacturing, specifically with soft gel dosage forms, is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, GMP, ISO standards) and other regulatory frameworks relevant to nutraceutical manufacturing.
• Proven experience in managing audits and compliance programs.
• Familiarity with analytical and microbiological testing methods.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Certifications preferred: ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) or other relevant quality or regulatory certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and prosecuting patent applications in collaboration with external counsel.
• Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitor patents, and potential IP risks.
• Support IP litigation, enforcement, and licensing activities.
• Review and negotiate IP-related agreements, including NDAs, joint development agreements, and licensing agreements.
• Educate engineers and R&D teams on IP best practices and invention disclosures.
• Maintain and manage the company’s IP portfolio and database.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, business development, and external legal counsel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Semiconductor Engineering, or related technical field.
• JD (Juris Doctor) or equivalent legal qualification from a recognized institution.
• 1-3 years of experience in IP law, preferably in the semiconductor or technology industry.
• Admission to a bar association and registration with a patent office (e.g., USPTO, CNIPA, EPO) is preferred.

About the Role

Sesame is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead product marketing efforts across hardware and software. You’ll drive upcoming launches for Sesame’s software and play a central role in shaping how we position, learn, and iterate on our hardware roadmap.

This role is equal parts strategy and execution: you’ll define messaging and audiences, run customer and market insight loops, partner deeply with Product, Design, and Engineering, and build marketing programs and experiments that turn early signals into repeatable growth. You’ll thrive here if you like operating with ambiguity, moving quickly, and doing whatever it takes to learn and ship. As our first PMM hire, you’ll have a broad scope across the funnel—whether that’s launching a lifecycle campaign to test messaging, partnering with agencies on packaging, or leading strategic alignment with leadership.

• Lead product marketing for Sesame across hardware and software, supporting upcoming launches and ongoing iteration.

• Own and evolve audience definition, positioning, messaging, and narrative across the funnel—from first impression through retention.

• Establish a fast customer + market learning loop: synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights to inform GTM strategy and product decisions.

• Develop and run lifecycle marketing experiments (in-app and out-of-app) to test messaging, drive activation, and improve ongoing engagement.

• Own App Store positioning and optimization (e.g., story, messaging, conversion-oriented experimentation).

• Partner with agencies and internal teams on standing up new surfaces and channels that reinforce product proof points at a brand level (web, packaging, etc.).

• Build and maintain competitive and market intelligence to inform strategy, differentiation, and roadmap conversations.

• Operate with a “do what it takes” mindset: create scrappy, high-quality outputs when needed (docs, landing pages, tests, launch assets) and drive alignment across stakeholders.

• 8–10+ years of experience in product marketing (or closely related roles like insights/lifecycle marketing with substantial product marketing scope).

• Proven track record in driving positioning, messaging, and audience strategy, and translating it into GTM execution.

• Demonstrated ability to use customer insights + data to influence strategy and deliver measurable outcomes (e.g., retention/engagement, conversion, consideration).

• Strong cross-functional leadership skills with experience partnering deeply with Product, Design, Engineering, Data, and Sales.

• Comfort operating in high ambiguity with a bias toward action, iteration, and end-to-end ownership.

• Experience marketing products that blend hardware + software (or adjacent: consumer devices, connected products, mobile + device ecosystems).

• Exposure to AI products or AI-enabled consumer experiences.

• Experience at a high-growth startup (Series A–C) where scope was broad and teams were still being built.
