We're looking for an Applied Scientist with experience on user understanding, sequence modeling, and/or conversion prediction.


What you'll be doing


  • Design and ship user behavior models that directly influence ad ranking, bidding, and conversion outcomes across billions of impressions.
  • Own model quality from deployment onward: calibration, drift detection, and feedback loop management.
  • Shape how the team builds, contributing to long-term technical strategy and overseeing engineering execution.
  • Bridge the gap between ML complexity and business reality, communicating clearly with non-technical partners.


What we're looking for


  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and operating ML systems at scale in ads, search, recommendations, or related domains.
  • Deep familiarity with at least one of: CVR/CTR prediction, auction theory, user modeling, or sequential recommendation.
  • Production experience in Python and at least one systems language (Go, Scala, C++, or similar).
  • Significant experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages like Python, Go, Scala, C++ or similar.
  • Knowledge of metric design, experimentation methodologies, and large-scale data.

  • Experience with real-time bidding systems, auction dynamics, or marketplace optimization.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:


* Oversees the integrity of inventory and restocking of items in inventory. Manages onsite inventory, which may include spare parts.

About Our Client

Our client is a global, operations-driven organization operating in a complex manufacturing and supply network environment. They are investing in strengthening supply planning, inventory strategy, and SIOP capabilities to better balance service, cost, and risk across regions. This role sits at the center of those efforts and will have meaningful visibility and influence across the business.


The Opportunity

This is a highly impactful supply planning leadership role for someone who enjoys both running the planning engine and fixing what’s not working. The Supply Chain Manager will own finished goods (FG) and FF&P supply planning, ensuring demand signals, constraints, and inventory policies translate into executable, accurate plans. This person will partner closely with regional and global stakeholders, drive continuous improvement, and play a key role in scenario planning and decision support.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesLead FG and FF&P supply planning, ensuring alignment with demand priorities, business rules, and operational constraints
  • Own dependent requirements planning from FG to FF&P, generating netted AI demand signals and completing constrained supply plans
  • Execute MRP with defined freeze periods to generate accurate planned orders; own demand netting within the supply region
  • Manage MRP exception handling, validating and resolving issues sequentially and ensuring completeness and accuracy of MRP outputs
  • Own FG and bulk inventory planning in partnership with Inventory Management, including lead times, safety stock, and inventory targets
  • Implement and refine safety stock policies to balance service levels and working capital
  • Prepare supply plans by reviewing planning data, netting policies, BoMs, capacity alignment, and data accuracy (including data cleaning and validation)
  • Support the SIOP process by preparing inputs for regional supply reviews and incorporating allocation decisions and global constraints
  • Perform scenario modeling to evaluate trade-offs, assess risks, and support data-driven decision-making
  • Coordinate execution feasibility across key stakeholders, including Tollers, Material Planners, AI Planners, and Schedulers
  • Validate intercompany transfer orders generated by MRP and ensure alignment with supply priorities and stock availability
  • Proactively communicate supply risks and escalate critical shortages when resolution paths are not available
  • Continuously improve planning processes, tools, and standards by challenging inefficiencies and implementing best practices


  • What We’re Looking For5–10 years of experience in supply planning within a complex manufacturing or distribution environment
  • CPIM certification strongly preferred
  • Deep expertise in MRP and dependent requirements planning, including demand netting and exception management
  • Strong experience working within ERP and advanced planning systems, with the ability to interpret outputs and optimize planning parameters

A Typical Day

The Senior Project Engineer is simultaneously a design engineer and a technical project manager responsible for managing capital projects that execute the strategic plan of Hilmar driven through Hilmar’s Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) and Hilmar's Portfolio Management Office (PMO) to accomplish the goals of the steering team and board of directors. At the direction of the site engineering manager, the Senior Project Engineer is the supervising engineer on short and long-term asset management, reliability, and engineering projects.


Job Responsibilities

  • Ability to successfully manage large scale projects end to end simultaneously leveraging internal and external resources to ensure projects deliver business outcomes, and our asset decisions and investments deliver value.
  • Responsible for project scheduling, communication, costing, procurement, and budget creation, justification, and management for an average of 4-5 projects at one time and commissioning 10-15 projects annually with a total investment of up to $20 million.
  • Mentor and develop less experienced engineers by providing guidance and technical support..
  • Manage the implementation of capital projects to include concept development, establishment of project teams, process and design optimization, technical and economic evaluation of alternatives, scope definition and control, estimating, scheduling, development of funding requests, detailed engineering and design, regulatory compliance (environmental, safety, USDA, TXDHS, CDFA, and FDA) and project validation.
  • Responsible for ensuring Process and Instrumentation Diagrams as well as Bill of Materials are accurate and up to date. Review and track field changes, lead the execution of design and construction implementation as well as any changes.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with project teams, collaborating with various departments to include: R&D, manufacturing, sales, maintenance, engineering, safety, quality, environmental, and accounting, to ensure business outcomes are delivered.
  • Interface with cheese and/or ingredients business units to address and resolve reliability, asset and engineering risks and issues through vendor engagement, design review against current state, performance guarantees, reliability-focused design recommendations, and asset integrity reviews.

  • Accountable to ensure Hilmar’s internal good engineering and project management practices are followed, including installation, operational, and performance qualification documentation, ensuring product and project quality by design.
  • Understand and apply to designs: Engineering principles (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and process controls), theories, concepts, practices, and techniques, applying statistical analysis as necessary. Engage in and develop mathematical models and risk matrices for engineering designs and asset investment decisions, including whole-life asset costing to support strategic investment decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, representing the company during vendor engagements, managing the RFP process, including obtaining pricing and defining equipment needs. Review and analyze vendor agreements, including terms and conditions and master service agreements, and provide recommendations for revisions to leadership.
  • Facilitate effective written communication and decision making and risk management meetings across the business to achieve project outcomes; lead, develop, and deliver presentations to leadership at all levels for project design and risk reviews as part of strategic asset management decisions and processes.
