WHAT FACULTY CAN EXPECT
Faculty hired through this cluster will:
- Have a primary teaching assignment at Ironwood State Prison, delivering face-to-face instruction in a secure institutional setting.
- Teach additional CDCR sites statewide through correspondence and Canvas-based instruction, or main campus students, as program needs require.

NATURE OF THE POSITION
The instructor will teach classes within the approved discipline(s). In addition, the instructor shall be responsible for creating, maintaining and updating curricula relevant to the assigned instructional area. Further, the instructor will participate in all appropriate faculty functions, including non-teaching assignments, office hours, and committee meetings. This position may require day, evening, weekend, correspondence and on-line assignments.

Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field

· Strong eye for typography, layout, color, and visual balance
· Understanding of garment construction and production processes

Under the direction of the Manager of Payroll, the Technical Assistant, Payroll is responsible for performing a variety of highly responsible and complex tasks related to processing employee payroll. The Technical Assistant is responsible for processing large-volume transactions rapidly and accurately completing computations for payroll including leave balance adjustments, sick leave bank reconciliation, manual time sheet entries, salary vouchers, payroll payables, and direct payments; specific assigned tasks may be distributed among several Technical Assistants for efficient processing.
Minimum qualifications include a combination of education and experience. Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Experience: Five (5) years of experience with payroll, budget, accounting, or human resources. One (1) year of experience utilizing spreadsheets to organize, manipulate, and analyze data.
Preferred qualifications include one (1) year of experience utilizing Workday or a similar Human Capital Management system. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Excel. Previous work experience in a PreK-12 school setting. Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
Essential position responsibilities include entering leave of absence transactions or serving as backup for assigned groups of employees in accordance with applicable negotiated agreements and HCPSS policies. Processes sick leave bank awards to eligible employees, monitors usage, balances, and reconciles sick leave bank donations. Reconciles time off events in the system of record and absences in the absence management system to ensure leaves are entered and are accurately used. Receives and reviews timesheets, salary vouchers, and other pay related documents to ensure proper usage, tracking, and entry of time worked and leave taken and/or available. Reconciles and audits payroll input for accuracy prior to payroll processing deadlines. Completes requests for wage verifications. Provides customer service to all HCPSS employees and external stakeholders via written and oral communications. Responds to a high volume of payroll inquiries regarding pay and leave questions and concerns. Participates in the onboarding process for new employees by providing information and answering questions about payroll. Participates in projects and tasks to update and enhance existing payroll functions and/or procedures. Utilizes and applies all applicable negotiated agreements and HCPSS policies to the implementation of payroll procedures.

Skilled at handling high volume and time sensitive transactions accurately. Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications including Google Docs, Microsoft Office Suite, Workday or similar HCM. Knowledge and understanding of applicable negotiated agreement provisions and HCPSS policy and procedures.

Compensation for this 12-month per year position is Grade 2 1 on the Technical Central Office and School Based salary scale, $48,649 - $96,667. This position is exempt from overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Under the HCPSS Telework Program, this position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Description
The Pequest Natural Resource Education Center is funded partially through the Aquatic Education Federal Grant. This federal grant requires aquatic and angler education programs to be offered to New Jersey residents.
Specific to the Position
This position delivers the education programs at the Pequest Natural Resource Education Center, including teaching freshwater fishing classes, hatchery tours, guided hikes, and various freshwater ecology tours. The applicant will need to work with volunteers, and assist in equipment maintenance, and exhibit hall maintenance as needed.
Preferred Skilled Set
The applicant will be knowledgeable in freshwater fishing techniques, knowledge of fishing equipment and tackle, teaching experience, and familiar with New Jersey Fish & Wildlife regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
License

Job Duties:
- Coordinates with claimants, employers and agency staff to make senior level eligibility determinations on the basis of objective fact finding and legal analysis. These determinations must meet stringent timeliness and quality standards as set by federal and state authorities;
- Explains laws, procedures and various unemployment programs to claimants and employers including benefit rights and eligibility requirements;
- Questions claimants and employers concerning employment history and/or separation information;
- Makes final written determinations of entitlement to, or denial of benefits and compiles information from claimants, employers and Audit Section and forwards to Central Office for monetary determinations;

Job Requirements:
- Ability to accept supervision and to adhere to protocols;
- Specialized knowledge of unemployment laws;
