Senior In Vivo Surgical Specialist / Senior Surgical Research Associate
Large Animal Models | Preclinical Research
I have had the pleasure of working on a new exciting opportunity with a Preclinical CRO. I am actively looking for an experienced In Vivo Surgical Specialist / Surgical Research Associate with strong hands-on expertise in large animal preclinical models.
This role focuses on executing complex surgical procedures in porcine, canine, ovine, or rabbit models to support preclinical research studies within a fast-paced research environment.
Key Experience
- 5+ years performing large animal in vivo surgical procedures
- Experience with vascular catheterization / cannulation
- Intrathecal catheterization / lumbar puncture
- Liver or kidney biopsy procedures
- Thoracotomy and laparotomy
- Large animal anesthesia monitoring and perioperative care
- Experience supporting preclinical or CRO studies preferred
- Exposure to non-human primate (NHP) models is a plus
This position requires strong surgical technique, attention to detail, and a commitment to animal welfare and regulatory compliance.
