Overview:

As a highly-skilled and compassionate Cath Lab registered nurse you will provide assistance with all invasive cardiac, vascular and interventional procedures. In this role:

You will be responsible for all testing and therapeutics that take place in the cath lab. These procedures include but are not limited to: cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker, tilt-table, angioplasty, stent, dialysis catheter, nephrostomy and ureteral tube, IVC filter, IABP, pericardiocentesis, and stress testing procedures.

  • You will facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care.
  • You will appropriate SBAR process for hand-off communication.
  • You will assist the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath, and return to room.
  • You will manage emergent cases.
  • You will maintain accurate, timely and compliant patient records and complete all paperwork associated with these procedures.
  • You will prepare tests for physician interpretation.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Current State of Idaho RN license in good standing
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred 
  • 1+ years of Cath Lab experience preferred
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) within six months of hire
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support or obtain within 90 days of date of hire

Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) is a rare birth defect affecting approximately one in 3,000 fetuses. CDH occurs when the diaphragm (the muscle separating the chest from the abdomen) does not form properly during fetal development. This results in a hole in the diaphragm and allows the abdominal organs to migrate into the chest. This could mean having the intestines, stomach, spleen and sometimes liver in the chest. The presence of these abdominal organs in the chest compresses the lungs and prevents them from developing normally.


CDH is most often diagnosed before birth, around the 20-week ultrasound visit. There is a spectrum of severity in CDH patients, and the health risks and treatment often depend on the level of severity.

Who Should Apply:


• BSN from an accredited School of Nursing, preferred. Applicants with an Associate Degree in nursing will be considered and must obtain BSN within 36 months of hire


• Registered Nurse (RN) Required. Florida State or Compact License required


• A minimum of one year of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse


• BLS certification provided by AHA


• Previous experience in ICU, NICU and High Volume ECMO highly preferred
