The Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities team discipline is seeking a Test Architect to support the NASAMS® surface to air defense system programs. The Test Architect (TA) will be accountable for architecting a technically sound approach for the Test and Evaluation (T&E) strategy for the entire lifecycle of the product along with influencing the prime item architecture to support that strategy.

 

What You Will Do

• Responsible for test strategy for all aspects of the program and defines metrics to gauge progress.

• Responsible for defining or optimizing test environments and requirements to ensure on-time deliveries.

• Responsible for interface and coordination with internal and external organizations on test strategy, coordination, execution, and reporting activities.

• Extensive interaction with Program Managers, Directorate Leads, Chief Engineers, and technical subject matter experts (SMEs).

• Coordinate with other program disciplines to draw on their SMEs to address emergent issues across the systems, software, and hardware domains.

• Represent the interests of the Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) discipline on the program.

• Interface with the customer community on a regular basis to share test status, issues, and address programmatic concerns.

• Knowledge base for Model Based Systems Engineering and how to use this in Integration and Test for test strategy.

• International travel up to 20%, Regular travel between Raytheon locations in Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire is required.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience

• Experience with formal system test activities, including ground tests, flight tests, system verification, and system integration check out events

• Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a Final Secret U.S. government issued security clearance after start.

Qualifications We Prefer

Job Summary:

The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) is within the Test Equipment Engineering Directorate at Raytheon. The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) includes all the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test including test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization, and engineering laboratory management. The Engineering Prototyping & Fabrication department is seeking Electrical Prototyping Inspection Technicians to work in an engineering environment to co-develop engineering hardware in accordance with customer and internal requirements, as well as industry standards. Candidates will collaborate with multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects to bring design concepts to fruition, providing rapid engineering, fabrication, and prototyping solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Responsibilities of a Lead Technician:

• Test and inspect complex prototype electrical assemblies and verify compliance to workmanship standards.
• Rely on moderate to extensive experience to interpret drawings, schematics, 3D models, written notes, and specifications.
• Adapt methods and procedures to test, inspect, and troubleshoot new hardware.
• Apply advanced skills to test and inspect complex prototype electrical assemblies.
• Assist in electrical/mechanical engineering drawing peer reviews to validate engineering design specifications in development of producible prototypes.
• Assess complex designs to ensure producibility, maintainability, safety, and reliability.
• Document and communicate test and inspection discrepancies and concerns to customers and collaborate on design improvements.
• Perform other task related duties as required.

  Qualifications You Must Have:

• High school, secondary school, or equivalent with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in an engineering environment inspecting electrical assemblies in three or more of the following areas: cables or wire harnesses, breakout boxes, chassis, circuit card modifications, and racked electronic equipment.
• Previous work experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.

As a Sr. Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the Flight Test and Integration team. The Flight Test and Integration team is responsible for multiple installation and test efforts at Reliable Robotics. The team regularly ensures the proper function of mechanical, electrical, and flight control systems onboard the aircraft. In addition, this team has ownership over all ground and flight test operations within the organization. Responsibilities

In your role as Sr. Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer, you will assist in the design and installation of modified flight control systems, throughout the development of a remotely operated autoflight system. You will ensure the proper build-up of functions and capabilities, beginning in the lab and ending on the vehicle. You will be expected to verify the end-to-end functionality of the system and ensure the ability to assess all desired test requirements. This will require engaging with many teams throughout the organization and having a firm understanding of the vehicle's capabilities. As part of the flight test campaigns, you'll act as the responsible engineer for the vehicle and often as test director.

Job Overview

The R&D Test Engineer is responsible for being the lead in development of test methodology and test plan development supporting the verification and validation testing for medical devices, including improvements. This position will also support the authoring and execution of test protocols. This position is an individual contributor role.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

• 
  
• Translate Design Requirements into Design Verification and Validation (V&V) Testing
  
• Own Test Method Validation (TMV) for novel testing approaches
  
• Design test setup and methodology for product testing
  
• Own novel complex protocol development
  
• Lead test failure investigations and document deviations
  
• Chair cross-functional reviews for protocols, test reports, and deviations
  
• Research different test methods and standards
  
• Advise and support improvements to verification and validation SOPs and tools
  
• Write work instructions, protocols, reports
  
• Perform other product development and laboratory tasks on an as-needed basis
  

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• 
  
• Meet the qualifications of the job through education, training, or prior experience
  
• Experience with current industry practices for performing and documenting verification
  
• Ability to communicate within the discipline and with others who are perhaps not as technically trained

Minimum Requirements:

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in R&D or Engineering preferred
  
• 3-5 years' experience in R&D or related field
  

Quality Requirements:

• Ensure compliance with all FDA and Worldwide Quality & Compliance regulations (As applicable to the job function).
  
• Must have the education and experience to understand and comply with U.S. and Worldwide medical device regulations (As applicable to your job function).
  
• Attend all required Quality & Compliance training at the specified interval.
  
• Adopt the "Beyond Compliance Quality Culture" in the work environment; always meet and exceed requirements.
  

Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions:

• 
  
• Use of computer and telephone equipment and other related office accessories/devices to complete assignments
  
• Able to lift to 15 lbs.
  
• Ability and willingness to travel to outside test labs to execute/support any offsite lab testing activities
  
• Wear face masks and PPE wherever required.
  
• Integrate environmental considerations into all aspects of work and maintaining compliance to all environmental, health, and safety requirements
  
• Ensure review of all processes and activities for potential environmental improvements and implement necessary changes as applicable to the job function.
  
• Must have general understanding, at a minimum, of Getinge Environmental Policy.
  
• Consider environmental legislation and regulations as a minimum requirement
  
• May require sitting or standing for long periods of time depending on the project.
