The Sales Associate will be responsible for supporting the Store Leadership Team to achieve all company goals and initiatives. The Sales Associate will model and maintain excellent customer service with effective communication, product knowledge, and appropriate selling techniques. The Sales Associate will maintain company standards of all merchandise presentation, replenishment, and sizing while maintaining a new and clean store and backroom.

This position works in an office environment and Warehouse environment. May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. May, on a continuous basis be out in the warehouse to pick inventory or to re-stock inventory. Walking, climb, squat, twist (general range of motion movements) and lifting up to 75 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the office environment is usually moderate to low and the noise level in the warehouse is usually moderate to high. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Occasional travel is required, 30% of travel is needed. The Facility Painter will be tasked with various sized painting projects throughout the facility, including the pre-painting preparatory work.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Interior prepping and painting of office spaces, hallways, rest rooms, closets, meeting rooms, etc.
- May require some dry wall patching and mudding, and some wall papering or patching.
- Exterior painting includes, but not limited to doors, railings, bollards, walkways and striping.
- Includes other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Description:
Visit a high volume of restaurant prospects in your territory each week, introducing and securing qualified meetings for our Outside Sales team
Identify the owner or key decision maker at each location and quickly build trust in short, in-person conversations
Deliver a clear pitch on how can help restaurants grow orders, reach new customers, and optimize operations
Log every visit, conversation, and meeting outcome in our systems (Salesforce and other sales tools) with strong attention to detail
Partner closely with Outside Account Executives to align on target accounts, ideal customer profiles, and follow up plans
Manage and prioritize your daily route to maximize quality visits and meetings booked
Follow up with merchants via phone, text, and email after visits to confirm meetings and keep them engaged
Hit and exceed weekly and monthly targets related to meetings set, meetings held, and downstream revenue impact
Act as the local eyes and ears in your market, sharing feedback from merchants to help improve our pitch and our products You are

Qualifications
1+ year of experience in outbound sales, canvassing, field marketing, or other customer facing work where you drove new business or sign ups
Experience can be in sales, hospitality, retail, service industry, or similar environments
Comfortable having high volume, short, in person conversations every day
Ability to learn and articulate the value proposition clearly and confidently
Experience working with sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, or similar CRMs is a plus
Restaurant, food and beverage, or local business experience is a plus
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regularly within your assigned territory
Willingness to work restaurant friendly hours when needed, including some early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends Physical and work requirements
Ability to be on your feet for extended periods while visiting merchants
Ability to drive frequently within your assigned territory

Atlas Roof Shingles & Underlayments is seeking a Territory Sales Representative for Central Illinois. This territory will include the following: (Peoria, Springfield, and Champaign, Illinois).
Territory Sales Representative Primary Responsibilities
- Build an ongoing relationship at the contractor, dealer, distributor, and builder level and is knowledgeable of all Atlas products, programs, and sales & marketing tools.
- Maintain awareness of market pricing, product innovations, competitive product lines and market trends that may affect your market.
- Help establish and maintain competitive market pricing through timely and accurate gathering and communication of competitive market information.
- Communicate accurate information daily with Regional Sales Manager, Plant Manager, Account Executives, and other Field Sales Representatives on developments impacting their areas of responsibility.
- Communicate with customers in a timely manner.
- Inspect and assist in resolving complaints that develop periodically in a timely and professional manner that will maintain business on a steady growth pattern; provide adequate follow-up.
- Work with contractors and dealers for pull-though sales of Atlas products to our distributors and ensure Atlas has adequate distribution in the assigned market area.
- Provide the necessary literature, samples, technical data, and other advertising materials needed in the field.
- Promote and display the entire family of Atlas products by attending distributor, dealer, and builder shows.
- Promote new products and keep customers informed of promotions, special offers, and incentive opportunities.
- Participate in joint sales calls with distributor and dealer salespeople.
- Design business plans that meet both Atlas and distributor’s expectations; evaluate customer performance on a quarterly and yearly basis and report the results to the Marketing Manager.
- Follow up on quotes and ensure the proper documentation has been sent to the appropriate Account Executives and the Pricing Administrator.
Territory Sales Representative Experience
- Two (2) years’ experience minimum in the building material industry or at least four years in a field sales capacity is preferred.
Territory Sales Representative Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Fluent in English (Reading, Writing, Speaking). Bi-lingual is a plus.
- Professional selling skills are critical.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and government regulations.
- Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, employees, and the general public.
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce).
- Responds to customer requests in a timely manner.
- Acts fairly and ethically in all business dealing.
Education, Licenses & Certifications
- Four (4) year degree is preferred.
