We’re looking for energetic, tech-savvy, results-driven sellers for a field-based Solution Consultant position on the short-sales-cycle merchant services sales team. You will be able to offer a super customizable and dependable point of sale system designed to drive business efficiency, take more kinds of payments, help protect business and customer payment transactions, and grow business with our suite of value-added products.
What You Will Do
- Generate your own leads in this business-to-business environment (B2B), which may be complemented by referrals obtained from working relationships you build and develop.
- Retain clients by building relationships and growing portfolios through relationship management and cross consulting.

National Account Manager – Kroger & Harris Teeter
Heartland Food Products Group is seeking a National Account Manager (NAM) to lead our business with Kroger and Harris Teeter, two of Heartland’s most strategic retail partners. This role is ideal for a proven CPG sales leader with direct experience calling on these accounts, established relationships with merchandising teams, and a passion for building brands through strong retailer collaboration.
This position is based in Cincinnati, OH, and may include leadership responsibility for one direct report (Key Account Manager).
What You’ll Do
Own Strategic Customer Leadership
- Serve as the primary sales lead and relationship owner for Kroger and Harris Teeter
- Build and deepen partnerships with merchandising teams to drive mutual growth

Leverage Insights to Win at Shelf
- Use syndicated data (Circana/IRI, Nielsen) and customer insights to identify category opportunities and support fact-based selling
- Partner with customer merchandising teams to improve shelf placement, promotional ROI, and execution quality
- Translate data into clear, compelling stories that support brand and category growth
Lead and Develop Talent
- Directly manage and coach one Key Account Manager
- Set clear priorities, provide ongoing feedback, and support professional development

Collaborate Cross-Functionally
- Act as the voice of Kroger and Harris Teeter internally, aligning marketing, R&D, supply chain, finance, and operations

What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Proactively seek new business opportunities by filling the top of the funnel — responding to inbound web leads, leads from conferences, and by proactively prospecting over the phone (minimum of 25 outbound calls/day), video conferences, and email communication.
• Identify and qualify leads as sales opportunities and forward qualified leads to the sales team with the goal of securing trials and generating new business.
• Schedule and participate in presentations between prospects/customers and the sales team.
• Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating contact and conducting follow-up communication to move opportunities through the funnel.
• Manage data for new and prospective clients in CRM software, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate, and documents are attached.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Professionally persistent and motivated to win by creating new business, with the ability to handle initial rejection and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong organizational, time-management, attention-to-detail, and communication skills, with a positive and high-energy phone presence.
• Entry-level or 1–2 years of lead generation experience using phone, video, and email communication.
• Familiarity with lead-generation tools and the ability to quickly search, find, and interpret information.
• Ability to deliver engaging verbal presentations and communicate value clearly.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
• $50,000-$55,000 base + (Commission to be added based on performance after 6-12 months)

SUMMARY
Develop and maintain high quality client relations through sales, project management and personnel management. Ensure that air quality and multimedia projects are completed correctly, on time and budget, and that quality projects are made available for the assigned team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor, verify, and ensure the technical accuracy and quality of project related work.
- Guide staff in manner that allows for efficient progress and timely completion of consulting projects within the established budget.
- Coordinate efforts of project team to ensure timely completion of project, invoicing review, and maintaining project budgets.
- Maintain business development relationships through sales calls and professional networking.
- Promote client stewardship by being attentive to the needs of existing clients and by encouraging consultant staff to look for business opportunities with clients.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 1-3 employees in Environmental Consulting. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental/Civil Engineering, and or related Atmospheric/Environmental Science from four-year college or university; and at least two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have regulatory, industry, and technical knowledge relating to permit applicability, emission inventories, air dispersion modeling, and federal and state permitting requirements. Multimedia (waste and water) permitting and compliance are preferred.
Must have computer literacy, including basic programming word processing, spreadsheet skills, and knowledge of Microsoft office software package.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
