Role Overview
The Product Development Manager is responsible for managing the product development lifecycle from initial concept through manufacturing handoff. This role ensures products are designed, engineered, tested, and documented to meet the requirements of each sales channel and/or partner while remaining operationally efficient and aligned with brand standards.
The role partners closely with the Production team, who manage mass manufacturing and are actively involved throughout sampling, validation, and factory ramp-up.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role suited for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of design, engineering, manufacturing, compliance, and omni-channel commerce.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Lifecycle
- Manage product development from concept ideation → design → engineering → sampling → testing protocol → manufacturing handoff
- Guide product development with an omni-channel mindset, accounting for the differing needs of DTC, marketplace, and big-box retail
- Work closely with the production team to manage development timelines aligned with retail line reviews, marketplace launch windows, and DTC drops
- Balance innovation, speed-to-market, cost, margin, and scalability
Concept & Design Development
- Partner with founders, design, production and marketing to develop new product concepts, categories, and line extensions
- Evaluate product ideas for brand alignment, channel fit, manufacturability, and commercial viability
- Work closely with the production team to guide materials, construction methods, and features that perform well across online merchandising, retail shelves, and high-volume fulfillment
Engineering & Technical Execution
- Oversee technical specifications, CADs, tech packs, BOMs, packaging structures, and master cartons
- Ensure products meet performance, durability, and safety standards appropriate for both DTC and mass retail environments
- Drive resolution of technical challenges uncovered during development and sampling
Sampling & Factory Collaboration
- Oversee the sampling process in close collaboration with the Production team and overseas factories
- Review and approve samples across function, materials, color, print, construction, and packaging
- Ensure samples reflect final retail-ready and DTC-ready specifications, minimizing late-stage changes
Manufacturing Handoff
- Own the final handoff to Production once a product is development-complete
- Ensure all documentation is finalized, including specs, testing protocol, packaging requirements, and channel-specific variations
- Support Production during early manufacturing runs to ensure design intent, quality, and channel requirements are maintained
Compliance, Testing & Retail Readiness
- Ensure products comply with all relevant U.S. and international safety standards (e.g., ASTM, CPSIA, Prop 65)
- Work with production team to account for retailer-specific compliance, packaging, labeling, and testing requirements
- Partner with testing labs and internal teams to manage certifications, warnings, and documentation for all sales channels
Cross-Functional & Omni-Channel Management
- Serve as the central hub between Design, Production, Sourcing, Marketing, E-commerce, and Retail partners
- Communicate channel-specific tradeoffs, timelines, and risks clearly to leadership
- Help build scalable product development systems that support rapid DTC launches and large retail programs simultaneously
Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of experience in product development, ideally within consumer products, outdoor goods, inflatables, or adjacent categories
- Proven experience guiding products from concept through manufacturing handoff
- Experience developing products for multiple sales channels, including DTC, Amazon, and/or big-box retail
- Strong understanding of overseas manufacturing, materials, tooling, and production processes
- Familiarity with retail compliance, packaging standards, and testing requirements
- Exceptional project management, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to balance creative vision with operational and commercial constraints
- Passion for design-led, brand-forward consumer products

WHAT IS THE ROLE
This exciting role sits within the Buzz Client Service Team, reporting to the Director, Client Service Hotels and will be responsible for retaining and growing a small number of high-level client relationships within major Hotel chains. Your role is to liaise with clients and internal production and logistics to ensure all product is delivered to time and within budget. You will also manage a number of product refreshes during the lifecycle of the Hotel contract, as well you will look for opportunity for revenue growth within accounts.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
A seasoned account director who takes ownership of their client portfolio, managing strategic client relationships and generating new opportunities within these accounts.
The successful candidate will have:
· Previous experience managing high-value accounts and preferably experience in the product development process, either through selling into hotels or wholesale retail
· Proven ability to deliver growth in revenue and repeat business by successfully managing existing client relationships.
· Highly tuned analytical skills with the ability to apply this to the development of sales strategies and plans.
· Demonstrated experience in effectively managing cross-functional teams to deliver on deadlines and outcomes for your clients.
· Sound knowledge of CRM's and project management tools such as Smartsheet and Salesforce, with int-adv. MS Office skills.
· An understanding of, and network within, Hotels would be considered advantageous - either developed through selling into this industry for several years or having worked within the industry directly.
· An interest in luxury brands and a passion for travel.

Opportunity
Skybound is looking for a creative, strategic, detail-oriented Editor to acquire and edit comic books across multiple genres. This position will be responsible for acquiring and developing creators/books, as well as working with the editorial, design, publicity, and marketing teams to develop the publishing strategy.
Reports: This position will report to the Editorial Director
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work with writers and artists to acquire titles with the correct editorial fit for the publishing strategy
- Manage development and production of Skybound original comics, licensed comics, digital comics, media tie-ins, custom projects, and additional projects, as needed
- Read submissions, respond to writers/artists/agents, present projects, negotiate contracts, and monitor payments to authors
- Perform all editorial functions when appropriate, including reading and evaluating proposals, providing revisions to authors, and line editing
- Work closely with creators and internal team to maintain publication schedules and due dates
- Write sales copy for internal positioning and out-of-house product descriptions
- Keep up to date on competitive marketplace, both print and digital
- Demonstrate and strive for continued innovation, creativity, consumer and competitive insights
- Collaborate with team as needed to support imprint strategy, growth, and crowdfunding campaigns
- Provide editorial input into packaging design and copy to ensure key selling features are reflected in the book package
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, with 3-5 years of progressive editorial and acquisitions experience within the comic book industry.
- Experience editing comic books and extensive knowledge of the comic book marketplace
- Knowledge of art, ability to discuss composition, color, and design required
- Strong communication and editorial skills
- Experience finding, editing, and cultivating key creators

The Property Manager assumes a key leadership role responsible for providing strategic management direction to the property. This role oversees various facets including center merchandising, tenant relations, financial planning, residential leasing, and community involvement, ensuring operational excellence and financial performance.
We are seeking a proactive Property Manager to support the re-opening and operations of Palisades Village; initial responsibilities will focus on pre-opening before quickly transitioning into direct oversight and management of both retail and residential operations of the Center. This role requires someone highly organized and communicative, self-motivated and solution-oriented accompanied with quick problem solving and critical thinking skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, financially savvy, thrives in a fast-paced environment, can anticipate needs before they arise, and has strong interpersonal and communication skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains a responsive, open line of communication with tenants, commercial and residential, including handling complaints, lease enforcement, improvements, and lease schedules
- Always remain responsive and available, including after-hours, to address emergencies as they arise
- Conducts daily property walks to ensure the commercial and residential property is well-maintained and serviced to our standards
- Create and oversee property initiatives to drive traffic and sales to Tenants upon re-opening of the Center, including input with a comprehensive marketing strategy
- Foster strong relationships with all Tenants to understand how best to support their needs, drive traffic and increase sales volume, as well as track Tenant performance to plan and consumer behavior no less than bi-monthly
- Support, implement and maintain property business plans and growth strategies to meet/exceed goals
- Responsible for leasing residences and elevating the residential experience to support a continued high occupancy rate
- Promote and ensure the property team follows safety, health, grooming and business protocols
- Organize and implement training programs for internal talent development including the development and growth of the property management team
- Continually encourage team collaboration, motivation, and high-performance standards to achieve personal, professional and property goals
- Direct oversight of all initiatives on property including but not limited to marketing, events, property enhancements and residential functions

- Maintain a pulse on merchandizing trends and work collaboratively with Leasing on commercial strategy and pipeline including the creation of a five-year and ten-year leasing strategy annually
Financial Responsibilities:
- Develop annual business plans and operating/capital budgets to meet the property needs
- Ensure the property stays within budget, exceeds stated NOI and free cash flow goals each year
- Ensure effective cost control and profitability for the properties including authorizing expenditures and reviewing monthly profit and loss statements
- Complete all monthly financials including forecasting, sales, parking reports and competitive analysis and retailer analytics
- Compile and send Rent Commencement, Rent Increase, Impound and Reconciliation letters for commercial Tenants
- Assist with the collection of accounts receivable balances including regular review, monitoring and follow up, on commercial and residential accounts
- Oversight of marketing and sales campaigns to ensure budget and goals are met
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a hospitality field such as hotels, retail, and/or restaurant, preferred
- 2+ years of luxury residential leasing experience, preferred
- Proficiency in Yardi, Yardi CRM, and Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint)
- Proven success in managing commercial and/or mixed-use properties and third-party vendor management
