Job Description

Lead CNC Programmer (Turning & Milling)

Shift: 1st Shift (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm)


What You Will Do:

  • Lead CNC programming development for turning and milling operations, including instruction and debugging.
  • Collaborate with Repair Development Engineers, Process Engineers, and machining leads to support programming and machining requirements.
  • Provide direct support to operations by implementing NC program changes as needed to address production issues.
  • Develop new NC programs to support New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Work closely with engineering teams on fixturing concepts and development.
  • Partner with Process Engineers to create and validate CAD models for milling and turning operations.
  • Support Senior Engineering staff on various technical and process-improvement initiatives.


What You Need:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with CNC programming for lathes, VTL, and 3/4/5-axis milling.
  • Experience machining nickel, cobalt, and titanium alloys in an aerospace environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with full machine setups, program editing, and holding tight-tolerance precision.
  • Ability to program using CAM software (NX preferred) and perform manual programming when required.
  • Familiarity with aerospace repair technical data such as Engine Repair Manuals, Service Bulletins, and OEM supplemental documents (preferred).
  • Experience creating shop process documentation, including Tool Sheets, Setup Sheets, Routers, Operation Sheets, and Inspection Forms.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
