Position Description: The purpose of the position is to operate heavy equipment safely, productively and efficiently. The position could require manual labor consisting of operating a variety of hand tools to include shovels, rakes and pick axes.
Key Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may be required to perform. . The actual duties required of this position will vary. Duties may increase within the first 6 months of employment as training an experience is gained.
· Proficiently operate heavy equipment: Dozers, Back-Hoes, Excavators (medium and large), Articulated Trucks, Loaders, skid steers and Graders.
· Build level and excavate land surfaces using construction equipment.
· Maintain accurate logs and records.
· Perform a daily heavy equipment walk-around inspection and preventive maintenance responsibilities.
· Read and interpret maps, sketches, drawings, specifications and technical manuals.
· Perform job responsibilities safely in a busy sometimes, stressful environment, operating and working varied under-footing and weather conditions around trucks and personnel.
· Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures; maintain effective communications with supervisors and coworkers.
· Perform land clearing, grading, trenching, backfilling, and utility installation support.
· Use grading systems (lasers, transits, GPS) to complete sitework to specifications.
· Conduct pre-operation checks, routine maintenance, and complete daily equipment logs.
· Assist crews in trench excavation, pipe placement, and material backfill.
· Load, unload, and transport equipment to/from project sites.
· Maintain OSHA compliance and follow company safety policies at all times.
· Identify potential hazards and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
· Collaborate with field teams and supervisors to deliver projects on time.
· Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
· Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2-5 years of heavy equipment operation in underground utility or civil construction.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with grading systems, lasers, and transits.
- Soft Skills: Reliable, punctual, and effective communicator; able to work well in a team.
- Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Licenses & Certifications
- Required: Valid Driver's License, OSHA 30.
- Preferred: CDL License, Rigging & Signaling, Confined Space Training, Excavation & Awareness certifications.

About the Role
We are seeking a Contract Execution Manager to serve as the customer-facing liaison for large, custom-engineered, power transformer manufacturing projects. This is not a construction or software PM role — it is a highly technical, contract-driven position responsible for ensuring the successful execution of engineered-to-order equipment, from design release through manufacturing, shipment, and onsite installation.
The position is onsite in Roanoke, VA and requires close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, contracts, and field service teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers after order placement, ensuring clear communication and contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Translate customer specifications and contract terms into actionable deliverables for engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Oversee project schedules adherence to contractional milestone execution, and scope; identify risks and implement proactive resolutions.

- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and work with in-house counsel to identify and resolve any potential breaches or disputes.

Education and/or Experience

- applicable base salary range for this role is $60,500 to $90,600. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives. Our client, a manufacturer of complex industrial equipment serving commercial, government, and international customers worldwide, is seeking a Director of Contracts to lead their contracts and proposals function onsite in Southampton, PA.
The company handles contracts ranging from smaller commercial agreements to multi-million-dollar aerospace and defense projects, where every decision can have operational, financial, and strategic impact. In this role, you’ll lead a small contracts team, mentoring and guiding team members while remaining hands-on with the most complex agreements.
You’ll work closely with sales, project management, finance, and executive leadership to structure, negotiate, and execute contracts that protect the business while enabling growth. Day-to-day, you’ll be involved in full lifecycle contract management, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating customer and vendor agreements, NDAs, amendments, and other key documentation. You’ll help leadership assess contractual risk, support the proposal and bid process, and ensure agreements are clear, enforceable, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial, government, and international customer and vendor agreements, NDAs, amendments, and related documentation
- Partner with sales, project management, finance, and executive leadership during proposal and bid stages to assess risk and structure agreements
- Develop negotiation strategies for high-value agreements, balancing business objectives with risk mitigation
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable government regulations
- Serve as liaison to outside counsel for complex contractual and legal matters
- Develop and maintain standardized contract templates, internal processes, and best practice guidance
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external clients to ensure clarity, enforceability, and alignment with business objectives
- Manage and negotiate international government agreements, including FMS and FMF programs
- Prioritize and manage multiple contractual initiatives across business units to support timely proposals, contract execution, and project delivery
- Proactively identify and resolve complex contractual issues using independent judgment and experience
- Lead and manage the contracts team, including mentoring, workflow management, and performance development
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience leading contracts and proposals, including customer agreements, vendor agreements, NDAs, amendments, and related documentation
- Experience with government and international contracting, including FMS and FMF programs
- Proven experience negotiating complex commercial and government agreements, ideally in aerospace, defense, or capital equipment industries
- Hands-on knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations
- Comfortable managing and mentoring a small contracts team
- Strong strategic thinking, risk assessment, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise executive leadership on complex contractual and risk issues
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, law, or a related field
