Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Supply Chain Intern to work on two strategic initiatives that will directly impact our operational efficiency and customer service levels. This internship offers hands-on experience with real-world supply chain challenges in a multi-plant manufacturing and distribution environment. You'll work closely with our supply chain leadership team and plant operations team to analyze current operations, research best practices, and develop actionable recommendations that will shape Grimco's future in manufacturing. Project - Finished Goods Inventory Optimization:
Analyze and develop an optimized inventory strategy for finished goods and raw materials across Grimco's multiple manufacturing locations and distribution hub network.
Key Objectives:
· Position finished goods inventory closer to customers for faster delivery
· Reduce overall inventory carrying costs
· Minimize freight expenses through strategic inventory placement
· Improve inventory turns while maintaining service levels
· Develop data-driven recommendations for inventory allocation across the network
Ultimate Goals:

· Higher customer service levels and improved On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare artwork for production: scaling, color callouts and sending to vendors.

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW
During the Summer 2026 Buying/Merchandising internship, you’ll gain hands-on experience as a member of our Buying team within the Furniture/Wood category. Reporting to a Buying Leader, you’ll be directly involved in the buying process – driving business strategies, working on seasonal line plans, conducting competitor and sales analyses, and assisting with product launches and store communication.
