Senior Technical Designer / Apparel
Women’s Contemporary Designer RTW -– Fulltime
About the job:
We are looking for a skillful Senior Technical Designer who will facilitate the transition of product from development through final production. The Senior Technical Designer will be collaborating cross-functionally with design, product development, and production in delivering high quality, well-fitting garments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate their ability to interpret design with strong fitting skills and the ability to correct balance and fit, extensive technical knowledge in garment construction, experience working with different fabrications, and the skill set to accurately adjust patterns for corrections when needed. The individual will be detail oriented and efficient as well as a key player in providing accurate fit corrections to factories, capable of working in a fast-paced setting and able to perform under pressure. The individual should have good comprehension skills and be a reliable problem solver, who is a go getter and able to manage workload independently as well as collaboratively within the technical design team.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for attending fit sessions on live models while ensuring fit consistency across all categories. Provide accurate and clear fit directions to overseas factories through all means such as measurements, fit comments, detailed photos, illustrations, drapes, mockups and patterns.
· Use technical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues with overseas factories.
· Identify potential production and quality issues. Make recommendations to improve all areas of the product
· Collaborate with cross-functional partners to achieve elevated fit and construction while maintaining brand aesthetic and intent.
· Demonstrate an understanding of design, product development and production priorities and timeline.
· Manage workflow in a fast-paced environment with overlapping development and production seasons.
· Support Director of Technical Design in creating efficiency within the team and providing any technical work.
· Aiding with alterations and managing seamstress, freelancers and interns. Capable of stepping in and advising technical expertise to factories and counter parts team.
· Measure and prep fit samples. Approve Top samples. Provide product knowledge.
· Manage TOP pattern library and block body libraries.
· Willing to work on any special projects or capsules as per company’s needs
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Technical Design or Fashion Design
· 8+ years of technical design experience with Women’s RTW fit, garment construction and manufacturing processes for wovens and cut & sews.
· Computer Skills- Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Suite and Google Suite required.
· Thorough skill set and knowledge of understanding patterns and grading. Capable of draping, sewing and creating mockups as needed.
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple seasons simultaneously during busy peak seasons. Have sense of urgency and are sensitive to timelines and deadlines. Capable of reprioritizing workload based on deadlines.
· A flexible team player with willingness to adjust and support based on the team’s needs.
· Precision and accuracy in measuring fit samples. Keen eye for evaluating garment construction techniques.
· Strong understanding and interpretation of design’s intent and direction.
· Demonstrates garment construction technical expertise and is able to provide clear communications when working with domestic/overseas factories and counterpart teams.

Opportunity
Skybound is looking for a creative, strategic, detail-oriented Editor to acquire and edit comic books across multiple genres. This position will be responsible for acquiring and developing creators/books, as well as working with the editorial, design, publicity, and marketing teams to develop the publishing strategy.
Reports: This position will report to the Editorial Director
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work with writers and artists to acquire titles with the correct editorial fit for the publishing strategy
- Manage development and production of Skybound original comics, licensed comics, digital comics, media tie-ins, custom projects, and additional projects, as needed
- Read submissions, respond to writers/artists/agents, present projects, negotiate contracts, and monitor payments to authors
- Perform all editorial functions when appropriate, including reading and evaluating proposals, providing revisions to authors, and line editing
- Work closely with creators and internal team to maintain publication schedules and due dates
- Write sales copy for internal positioning and out-of-house product descriptions
- Keep up to date on competitive marketplace, both print and digital
- Demonstrate and strive for continued innovation, creativity, consumer and competitive insights
- Collaborate with team as needed to support imprint strategy, growth, and crowdfunding campaigns
- Provide editorial input into packaging design and copy to ensure key selling features are reflected in the book package
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, with 3-5 years of progressive editorial and acquisitions experience within the comic book industry.

EmPATH will provide these services to individuals who present to the program or are transferred from area EDs.

Summary of role of team: The EmPATH Peer Support Specialist serves as a clinical member of the multi-disciplinary team, providing education, rehabilitation, and support for individuals.

1. Manages referrals to the Healthy Families program in accordance with the Healthy Families America model requirements, including.
- Attempting contact with all referrals within 24 to 48 hours of receiving the referral.
- Contacting each referred family a minimum of 2 times a month during the first trimester and second trimester and until the family is assessed.
- Contacting each referred family a minimum of 1 time per week during the third trimester and until the family is assessed.
- Contacting each referred family a minimum of 2 times per week once the infant is born and until the family is assessed.
- Ensuring all necessary data related to referrals and screenings is inputted correctly into the Heathy Families America Entrance to Exit log that is submitted for accreditation.
2. Initiates and conducts screenings for families interested in the Healthy Families program.
- Conducting screening on all families using the Healthy Families Screening Tool and Contact Form.
- Ensuring all necessary data related to referrals and screenings is inputted correctly into the Heathy Families America Entrance to Exit log that is submitted for accreditation.
3. Initiates and conducts welcoming, quality, and engaging assessments for all families enrolling in the Healthy Families program in accordance with the core Healthy Families America model standards, including.
- Completing the validated Family Resilience and Opportunities for Growth (FROG) Scale with newly enrolling families.
- Helping families identify their family strengths and areas of need
- Ensuring the FROG assessments are completed prenatally or within 3 months of the infant's birth.
- Preparing each FROG for review by supervisor.
- Reviewing each FROG with supervisor.
4. Promotes the Healthy Families program by.
- Maintaining quality and positive relationships with referring organizations.
- Providing referring organizations follow up on every referral received, including whether or not the family declined services.
- Represents the program at formal community venues to promote the program and facilitate referrals.
- Attending monthly Community Advisory Boards to ensure close communication occurs between Healthy Families program and community resources.
- Collecting Memorandum of Understandings from formal community partners.
5. Maintains documentation of services, quality measurement tools, and tracking forms in accordance with the Health Families America model, including.
- Submitting monthly Family Assessment Worker reports by the third day of the month
- Maintaining the Referral Log submitted for accreditation.
- Maintain the Closure Log submitted for accreditation.
- Entering all screening, FROG, and Closure information onto tracking spreadsheets submitted for accreditation.
- Tracking all outreach and community event participation used in the accreditation process.
6. Maintains completion of required supervision, including.
- Ensuring weekly reflective supervision.
- Ensuring documentation and tracking information is prepared ahead of supervision for review.
7. Completes required trainings in accordance with Healthy Families America model standards, including completing.
- 28 hours of initial Foundations for Family Support Core Training.
- Annual Child Abuse and Neglect training.
- Annual service population-focused training.
- Annual McNabb Center Relias trainings, CPR and First Aid, and Handle with Care trainings.
- 15 hours of Infant Mental Health Training annually to maintain Endorsement.
8. Achieve and maintain Infant Mental Health Endorsement through the Tennessee Association of Infant Mental Health, including.
- If hired without an Endorsement, will submit application on Endorsement Application System, uphold Ethics Code, achieve mandatory references, and complete and submit 30 hours of required infant mental health training within first year of employment.
- Once Endorsement is achieved or if hired with an endorsement, will maintain endorsement every year but completing and submitting 15 continuing education hours and updating the Code of Ethics review process annually.
9. Takes an active role in ensuring the McNabb Center completes and maintains Healthy Families America Accreditation, including.
- Familiarizing self with the more than 150 required Policies and Procedures.
- Ensuring all documentation is maintained for accreditation.
- Ensuring trainings are maintained.
- Ensuring home visiting rates are tracked and home visits are completed.
- Completed accreditation interview.

Job Purpose/Summary
Summary of role of team:
- The PT will be a part of a muitl-disciplainary team that renders short-term treatment (23 hrs.) to facilitate access to services and stabilization to those 18 years and above that present with a psychiatric crisis.
- This position monitors consumers in EMPATH and provide assistance to teammates in providing safe, therapeutic interventions to consumers receiving emergency psychiatric interventions.
Typical Working Conditions/ Environment
- Working conditions consist of a 16-lounge bed residential unit.
- Hours of operation are 24/7.
- The role of the PT is to ensure coverage is provided 24/7 despite any weather conditions or holidays that arise.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Daily Staff Duties
- Leads groups and organizes activities.
- Offers 1:1 counseling as requested by clients.
- Responds to all flags, emails, and voicemails within 2 business days.
- Completes Staff Daily Duties assigned by supervisor before the end of each shift.
2. Complete all documentation in compliance with CARF and funder standards
- Completes group logs, transport logs, and charting correctly as well as on time.
3. Maintaining/completing daily safety checks, property checks, and adhering to daily schedule
- Completing safety checks when observing clients
- Properly completing property inventories and searching belongings
- Follow EMPATH schedule to give clients an effective daily structure for optimum progress.
4. Functions as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Must be punctual and maintain good attendance record
- Must stay awake and alert on all shifts.
- Maintaining a strong line of communication with all staff to effectively and safely provides assistance to the people we serve
- Demonstrates willingness to promote a harmonious work environment by maintaining a positive and professional working relationship with all staff members and supervisors.
- Communicates and approaches conflict in a problem solving and professional manner with all staff members and supervisors
- Accepts additional assignments and/or changes in assignment and/or work.
COMPENSATION:
- Starting salary for this position is approximately $16.71 - $18.79/hr based on relevant experience and education.
Schedule:
- Must have flexible schedule.
- Possible overnight shifts, holiday work and overtime.
- Regular attendance is an essential job function.
- Must be punctual and maintain good attendance record.
- Must stay awake and alert on all shifts.
Travel:
- Valid driver's license with F endorsement required.
- Reliable vehicle required.
- Picking up clients from community locations and hospitals in personal vehicle or company vehicle.

QUALIFICATIONS - EmPATH Residential Counselor
Experience:
- Experience in working with special populations including individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, Co-occurring Disorders, and Dual Diagnosis is preferred.
- Computer experience is helpful.
- Experience working in a crisis setting is preferred.
- Regular attendance is an essential job function.
Education / Knowledge:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or Bachelor's degree with experience working or volunteering with children, adults, families, or community service preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with mental illness or special populations in a crisis setting with co-occurring and dual diagnoses preferred.
- Must have coursework and/or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and crisis intervention.
Physical/Emotional/Social - Skills/Abilities:
- Possible exposure to biological hazards.
- Hearing of normal and soft tones.
- Close eye work.
- Valid driver's license with F endorsement.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.

Responsibilities
- Work with multiple product categories within Athleisure & Fashion Sportswear divisions (tops, pants, shorts, sets, dresses, skirts, activewear/lounge, swim, sweaters) for Juniors, Missy, and Plus sizes
- Accurately measure Fit/PP/TOP samples
- Attend fit sessions and take detailed notes
- Responsible for identifying and calling out any fit/construction/workmanship issues to be addressed and communicating all corrections and revisions to factory
- Create initial tech packs for development/costing and fit sample submits
- Ensure all corrections have been made at the pre-production sample stage to perfect the fit/quality for production.
- Work with Private label accounts to achieve desired fit
- Knowledge of grading and ability to issue graded specs
- Ability to adhere to calendar to ensure deadlines are met
- Track and manage sample status
- Logging in samples and assist with keeping sample library organized
- Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams including design, merchandising, production, and sales.
Qualifications
- Degree in Technical Design or Fashion Design
- 2+ years experience in Apparel Technical Design
- Knowledge of sewing construction, patternmaking, garment manufacturing, and fabrics.
- Proficient in PLM and Excel
- Clo3d experience is preferred, but not required
- Attention to detail, sense of urgency, willingness to learn, team-player
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
