INFRARED THERMOGRAPHY & ELECTRIC MOTOR TESTING CONSULTANT
The Snell Group, part of the Applied Technical Services (ATS) Family of Companies, is a growing training, testing, and inspection company seeking a trained technician with sound electrical and mechanical aptitude to work remotely and independently with little supervision.
Description:
The IR & Electric Motor Testing Consultant will work with the Snell Group to provide services for our clients. Work will be scheduled by our home office, travel and lodging will be scheduled by you. As this is a relatively new technology, extensive previous experience, while desired, is not necessary.
Responsibilities:
The IR & Electric Motor Testing Consultant will be responsible for delivering all facets of our motor testing and services to our clients. Some of the responsibilities are as follows:
Conduct Electric Motor and Power Quality Services.
- Collect and analyze motor, motor circuit, and power quality data.
- Conduct Infrared Thermography inspections.
- Provide customers with detailed reports describing identified anomalies.
- Be a \"self-starter and maintain awareness with existing and upcoming developments with motor tester and power quality technology, motor and motor circuit design, maintenance, and reliability.
- Identify client requirements by establishing relationships with potential clients.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge and certifications.
- Sound theoretical background in electrical theory
- 5 years Industrial electrician or technician or equivalent military experience and Level II IR Certification
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer skills - Excel, Word documents using multimedia materials, File & Directory management.

WWe are looking for a seasoned engineer to lead the development of advanced electric motor technologies, supporting both new product development and the improvement of existing designs. This role focuses on the full lifecycle of motor systems—from concept and analysis through testing, validation, and manufacturing readiness—while working closely with cross-functional engineering and production teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Engineer and refine AC and DC motor systems, including induction, permanent magnet, BLDC, and synchronous designs
- Conduct electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical evaluations using engineering simulation and analysis tools
- Perform product teardowns and competitive analysis to understand construction methods, winding configurations, materials, and magnetic circuits
- Generate 3D models, technical drawings, and documentation required for manufacturing and production support
- Develop test plans and evaluate motor performance including torque, efficiency, thermal behavior, noise, and vibration
- Identify opportunities to improve motor efficiency, reliability, and overall system performance
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for scalable production
- Support prototype builds, troubleshooting efforts, and root cause investigations
- Evaluate competitor technologies and provide recommendations for design improvements
- Ensure designs align with relevant engineering standards and assist in transitioning products into production
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in electric motor design and development
- Demonstrated experience bringing a motor design or redesign from concept through production launch
- Strong foundation in electromagnetic principles and electric machine design
- Experience with motor simulation/analysis tools and 3D CAD platforms such as SolidWorks or Inventor
- Practical experience performing product teardowns and reverse engineering
- Knowledge of winding techniques, laminations, magnetic materials, insulation systems, and motor manufacturing processes

Position Summary:
The Project Manager – EPG will play a pivotal role in translating strategic objectives into actionable plans, coordinating project activities, and ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality parameters. - Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing project-related inquiries and concerns.

The Procurement Analyst is responsible for the purchase of general material and construction supplies as assigned. The Procurement Analyst will issue purchase orders, releasing material from existing purchase orders, and expedite material and supplies.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Receives and reviews field requisitions for completeness and accuracy; conferring with requestor when clarification is required.
- Releases material from pre‐negotiated blanket purchase orders, maintaining tracking logs of released material and quantities released.
- Secures vendor quotations on requisitions.

The Estimator I is a salaried, entry-level position that assists in preparing bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. The Estimator I has limited discretion to vary from established procedures when assembling construction costs by collecting and studying information to learn how to bid on a project. The Estimator I works under general supervision and provides overall support for several small to medium projects.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
- Receives instructions from senior-level estimators to review proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and requirements.
- Using established procedures to prepare estimates by calculating the complete takeoff of the scope of work and entering them into the computer estimating system; review the estimate printout for accuracy and completeness.
- Work with existing suppliers and subcontractors to solicit quotes and review quotes for completeness in relation to plans and specifications.
- Work with senior-level estimators to provide the Lead Estimator, Estimating Manager, and/or Chief Estimator a detailed review of the scope, technical requirements, and pricing for the estimated bid package.
- Contributes to the timely completion of all client-required documents.
- Using existing templates to draft scope letter inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for estimates.
- Maintain files of working documents for backup to estimating assumptions and methodologies.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, (Return for Information), and meeting minutes.
- Oversee project activities as assigned by the Project Manager, including planning, coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas, ensuring all company/project policies, procedures, and standards are maintained, etc.
- Maintain change orders, submittal, and document (drawing) control logs. Prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.
- Responsible for contract submittals that are accurate and timely.
- Responsible for creating and issuing the Subcontractors’ contracts.
- Responsible for the assembly and timely delivery of the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
- Ensure that the project quality control plan is followed.
- Interacts with subcontractors to ensure we have obtained the correct documentation and drawing for the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
- Responsible for keeping the Warranty Log up to date.
- Attend company/project meetings with clients, subcontractors, etc., and provide project management support
- Cooperate with and technically assist field personnel assigned to the area of responsibility.
- Monitor other contractors’ activities and progress.
- Responsible for creating the Job Information Sheets and establishing Job Files.
- Prepares price change orders and project reports and documentation.
- Works with payroll to ensure accurate payroll information.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- General work environment – This position is performed primarily on active construction sites. Activity includes sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
- Noise level is typically low to medium.
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:
The Safety Manager administers project safety programs to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. They may be responsible for one project or multiple small projects. This role would report to a Senior Safety Manager or Regional Safety Director and potentially manage Safety Coordinators and Field Safety Specialists. This subject matter expert will have significant autonomy contributing technical support to make safety-related decisions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead daily audits of all work areas. Provide safety expertise in response to identified deficiencies and requests for safety assistance. Communication with the project team and field leadership is essential.
- Prepare professional reports, conduct safety briefings, act as company spokesperson for site safety issues, research, and answer site safety questions and concerns.
- Resolve site safety issues and provide emergency response as needed that arises from sub-contractors, customers, employees, and company managers.
- Identify gaps and implement safety program elements, as needed, to comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Direct comprehensive, in-depth investigations of all injury and loss incidents, identify all causal factors, develop and implement measures to prevent recurrences, and follow up to ensure long-term resolution.
- Conduct safety training, testing, and record-keeping for all employees, sub-contractors, and where Rosendin is prime, all other persons arriving on site (New Hire Orientation, Equipment Training, Haz Com, Fall Protection, Excavation, Confined Space, Lockout/Tag out, Crane and Rigging, etc.).
- Act as an advisor to the company management team and customer agencies to ensure safety requirements are identified, communicated to employees, and fulfilled.
- Manage the assigned project’s safety program budget, planning, acquiring, controlling, and distributing all safety equipment, supplies, and training aids.
- Develop and review the site safety plan for the project.
- Contribute to project start-up meetings.
- Review of the three-week look ahead for the project.
- Ensure a crisis management plan is implemented for projects and facilities.
- Ensure clinics/medical facilities are set up, and the project team knows their location.
- Ensure procedures are followed for LOTO and first-time energization at the project site.
- Review Step by Step and MOPS (Method of Procedures).
- Develop and participate in RCAs (root cause analysis) to prevent reoccurring events at projects.
- Identify needs and compose training documents, pre-task plans, permits, training certifications, sign-in sheets, and toolbox meetings to the appropriate database or filing system.
- Responsible for injury case management; coordination with insurance representatives and vendors as assigned by senior safety leadership.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Occupational Safety & Health, or a related field
- Professional Safety Certification (i.e., Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP), Construction Health & Safety Tech (CHST)) preferred.
- 6 years of applicable safety construction experience preferred
