Job PurposeLead purchasing sub-team/group within the unit, responsible for the assigned auto part commodity piece price, investment, and annual cost reduction, all of which have significant impact on HDMA financial performance. Establishment of part and supplier strategies through understanding of the Global and North American supply base, manufacturing process and critical part design elements. Considering input from key stakeholders, propose the selection of the best cost, quality, development, and delivery supplier.
Support procurement team key business plan themes, initiatives, and achievement. Designate, communicate, gather necessary resources, assign tasks, and implement a plan for completing the project requirements on time and within budget. Responsible to maintain supplier relationships through sale director level supplier contacts. Coordinate with other group leaders in the organization to share resources and best practices. Actively participate in team development and growth opportunity for associates.
Fosters a high-performance and inclusive culture by developing technical and leadership capability within the group/unit and broader organization. Operates effectively in a multi-company environment, leveraging multiple viewpoints and collaboration to achieve shared business outcomes.
Key Accountabilities- Lead and manage team deliverables to meet KCP, Business Plan achievement, project requirements, new model targets, and complete advance planning to best mange resources. Translates data and insights into strategic recommendations for Unit and Department leadership.

- Develop, lead, and implement cost reduction strategies, target $30M ~ $35M. Solve complex Q&D relationship issues, support in supplier financial distress cases, develop / execute rational PPA plans
- Establish and correlate with Design on logical cost targets and maker layout proposals, managing multiple model (13-17) developments
- Manage and support geopolitical issues/concerns (i.e. tariff mitigation, human rights sourcing of tier suppliers, etc)
- Represent the Unit and/or Department in team meetings, theme activity, and evaluations
- Conduct periodic performance and skill assessment reviews with the team to understand development needs and set future growth plans within in sub team, mentor associates
- Strengthens partnership and communication across APD and other regional and global functions. Ensures cohesive, end-to-end execution of new model development and cost initiatives, as well as mass production

About this Position:
The Supply Chain Management Operations Department is responsible for the oversight, standardization and technical leadership of the internal material handling operations at the Honda automobile powertrain and final assembly sites across North America. The Process Engineer position is responsible for engineering and executing the internal logistics flow of parts through a specific Honda plant to the production line. This position will be responsible for supporting the development and design of internal material delivery processes, working and communicating with stakeholders, and developing solutions through process analysis, time studies, work balancing, etc.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the development, documentation, and implementation of processes with production departments and third-party logistic (3PL) companies utilizing engineering tools (MOST, AutoCAD, Visio, QMF, Excel, etc.) required to achieve project and business plan targets.
- Areas of responsibility include manpower planning, process and vanning layout design, expectation sheets development and New Model packaging evaluations
- Identify and implement process improvements in support of business plan objectives and general cost reduction.
- Lead Model SA’s (Situational Analysis) of SCO projects with minor complexity (up to $250,000).
- Identify and lead tasks as prescribed by and maintain Specified Action Plans (SAP). Create and manage SAP’s for projects with limited complexity
- Coordinate with production departments and 3PLs on the investigation of production related issues of significant complexity and coordinate the implementation of countermeasures for complex production related issues.
- Mentor EX1 and EX2 process associates, provide feedback on work output and quality.

Job Purpose:
Collaborate with design from feasibility through design phase to achieve a product that can be manufactured within the factory’s capabilities while working with MMC’s to prepare and execute the trial phase of the new model development.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct feasibilities studies and detailed confirmations of new technologies, design concepts and manufacturing processes.
- Identify past model problem history, opportunities for cost savings and safety concerns.
- Collaborate with product designers to develop most efficient manufacturing process.
- Ensure a robust process design for mass production combining manufacturing requirements, factory characteristics and project targets.

Job Purpose:
As a Principal CAE Engineer in the Advanced CAE Department, you will be responsible to lead a project or team for CAE model and method creation related to structural based CAE for strength and reliability. Proficient use and understanding of CAE methods contributes to improved optimization, speed, and efficiency of our products and development processes.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and provide technical guidance for a team(s) or project(s) to develop and validate new CAE methods for both specification setting and product verification.
- Develops and evaluates metrics for quality of modeling and analysis.
- Assist in setting the plan for the technical direction of CAE methods development
- Collaborate with principal test and principal design engineers to ensure CAE models are achieving accuracy targets.
- Collaborate with other principal engineers to ensure the CAE methods are meeting the requirements for application to development projects.
- Create documentation for the registration of CAE Models as a verified tool for specification setting and product verification.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
- BS in mechanical engineering. Advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience based on education
- Expertise with software such as Simulia’s MODSIM, Abaqus, Optistruct, and Ansa. Also expertise with programming language software such as Matlab, Python, and Excel VBA.
- Expertise with creation of new CAE Models/Methods and performing verification and validation.
- Ability to present complex concepts as simple summaries
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:
- Work is primarily conducted at an office desk. Some time is spent at test facilities for collaboration.
- Hybrid (office/home) work is available.

Job PurposeAs a senior member of the Advanced CAE Department, you will be responsible for creating and validating 1D CAE models and processes related to vehicle dynamics, powertrain propulsion & thermal systems, and electrical systems. Proficient use of CAE contributes to improved optimization, speed, and efficiency of our products and development processes.
Key Accountabilities- Develop CAE methods that accurately represent the part or system of interest. Model fidelity should match the type of decision being made with the model. Model development will be for both specification setting early in development and product verification as designs mature. During and after development of a CAE method, conduct validation of the method with respect to the physical system the method represents, to ensure the fidelity needed is achieved
- Collaborate with test and part design engineers to understand the physical part and test procedures to accurately set the CAE model boundaries, constraints, and assumptions
- Create documentation that clearly explains the CAE model inputs, assumptions, setup, process, validation, and outputs
- BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering
- 0 years of experience with Masters or a PhD
- 2 years of experience with BS

Job Purpose:

Translates product concepts, styling intent, and engineering requirements into high-quality digital surface models. - Utilizes excellent digital modeling skills to create package models of proposed vehicles/components in area of specialty, including applying engineering specifications to produce digital model design/styling data, building and issuing 3-D data model and verifying “prove out” model meets design engineering specification while capturing design styling intent.
- As PIC interfaces with design, fabrication and project teams in all phases of development, clarifying design concept/styling intent, producing finished models/package model data per project schedule, reviewing design/styling issues and conducting problem-solving to determine and/or propose styling solutions, altering/modifying models and reissuing package model data to meet project goals/technical requirements and summarizing/presenting project status/updates as needed.
- Identifies potential styling concerns that may impact product safety, quality and manufacturability, interfacing with designers to review styling issues and recommending styling changes to promote design feasibility while maintaining design concept/styling intent.
- Participates in project meetings, activities, and discussions, providing information and general project support as needed.
- Supports process improvement efforts in area of specialty, evaluating existing modeling processes and recommending changes/improvements to support current/future business operations.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

Job PurposeLead New Model Quality introduction through strategic planning, management, and communication to meet New Model quality targets from concept to mass production. Achieve project EA00’s with high focus on Quality items, including Business Plan target for each factory with Manufacturing Managment Centre's (MMC) to prepare and execute the trial phase of the new model development.
Key Accountabilities- Support Department Project Lead by executing & managing the Quality portions of the plan (SAP related to OQ Flow, HAB, MMC Q) - Coordinate New Model Quality activity (weekend & shutdown) with all projects, and track project progress to achieve results.
- Coordinate analysis and countermeasure activity within Department and Purchasing to address gaps to target.
- Compile, summarize and understand project evaluation materials to meet the requirements of the plant evaluations and gain prior department approval & report to Project Lead.
- Work within Department to negotiate MQS Control Points / PQCT and insure they are linked to EQ Specs & Process Operation Standard, while ensuring Production Associate's ability to succeed.
- Lead drawing review and collaborate with Product Design to prevent Manufacturing Issues.
- Support MMC with Quality Manufacturing Plan for onsite Trial Builds, for example supporting himotsuki verification Activity Dan/QC.
- Support MMC execute successful onsite build event activity for dept. in the areas of schedule, parts, associates aligned in the right place, group to group coordination, and plan vs actual reporting (Q-Gate / abnormal handwork).
- Enhance the Standard NM SAP for assigned Model considering previous Model Reflections, New Technology, Future Innovations, and opportunities to improve Department Characteristics (PDCA).
- Maintain regular communication with other facilities to coordinate North American or Global Weld activity and management of associated travel as needed to ensure initiatives and good project flow.

Job PurposeThe Procurement Senior Specialist role will support Honda North American Indirect Procurement operations and will focus on Marketing, Sales, and New Business Development Commodities. Through theme execution and implementation, strategic management, and stakeholder alignment, the Senior Specialist is responsible for managing budget under Procurement umbrella. Additionally, the Specialist will regularly engage with the business stakeholder community, lead strategies to achieve optimal cost reduction, and ensure the proper management of supplier relationships and risk.
